I'm a big BCM and Larue fan. I like how their lowers attach to the uppers with NO movement at all. No wedges required. 300 blackout? Why that caliber? Be sure to label your magazines and keep them separate!

    This will be a canned SBR.....and b/c I already have the 5.56 :D

I'm thinking I may get rid of my Stealth Arms 1911 kit. I just don't think I'll ever finish it.....and I don't really want to spend $374 for the slide and other parts left

I've never used wedges on my Aero's(built 5 of them). To be honest, I've never even seen a wedge.

I may be interested in that kit for the right price. Let me know what you wanna do.

I think I'm gonna build me an AR10, since I'm already stocked up on .308 ammo. After I build my trashcan gun of course!

It's when you're tolerance stacking between different manufactures. A loose upper to lower fit doesn't really affect performance, just your OCD. The wedge just fits inside the lower, between the trigger and buffer tube. You can't see it when it's assembled.

I've got right at $600 in it. It's been sitting around for 5 or 6 years

I always wanted this version of it. This is the same one I would have built.

I've never been much of a fan of the 1911s, but after shooting my BIL's custom Kimber, I really like it!

I've never done separate upper/lower. I have always used the same company.......that being said, the only non Aero was my first build. I used Anderson I believe.

A 1911 wouldn't be the first handgun I would grab in a firefight.

I built Jeannie's rifle with an Anderson lower that I got for $57, with a PSA upper rifle kit. I've upgraded some parts since then, but it's a tack driver for being a PSA upper.

It'd probably be the last one I'd grab  I got this simply b/c it was a 1911. Had no intentions of actually carrying it. :D

I never had a problem out of my Anderson. With the exception of barrel, trigger, and optics......I say buy what you like. I just like the integrated trigger guard and screw on the Aero. I did buy a Armaspec SRS for the canned lower. It's suppose to be quiet compared to a normal buffer spring.

I'm gonna try one of these Midwest Industry triggers for the 410. I don't see the need to spend almost $300 on an Elftmann for it.

Ive had the best luck with Aero’s, they match up nicely with BCM uppers

Never tried any BCM stuff. I like the enhanced Aero uppers. I was never a fan of the uppers that "screw on" at the end.

This upper is pretty idiot proof

Lol I’ve built a few lowers but never wanted to mess with the upper, seems way more complicated

The uppers I use just need the barrel put in and rail thrown on :D I take it to the LGS and pay $5 to have the barrel put on. It has to be torqued so I just let them do it

AAA Auto glass is who I've used before. Rock on I65 got mine 2 weeks ago. Insurance is covering it for a small fee. Safelife is coming to the house next week.
