Yep, I was going to suggest something similar like Adams tire and rubber cleaner with maybe mother's back to black, but I think the degreaser would work better.

To be honest the performance was only part of my decision. Longevity was a factor as well. Not confident the 3.5, in its current built form, will provide 200k + miles of bulletproof durability like the 4.0. I may be wrong. I hope I am. I felt better getting all of my purchase money back and letting someone else take the gamble. I figure there is a good reason Toyota still uses the 4.0 in the 4runner. I do have the confidence in the 2.7 but never drove a 3rd gen with one.

Installed the official bedside “Ghetto Molle” alternative by repurposing a used TV mounting bracket that was otherwise destined for the dumpster.

Next I need to affix the shovel and put in a thumbscrew for the ripsaw.

Is that the devil horns you were referring to a few days back? Did you get it at the same place as I got mine? Lol too many questions. Where did you get the logo? It came out nice. I like it.

Finally got around to getting my ECGS bushing replacement and a CMC by Speed Freek and the work looks fantastic. If you are within driving distance of Northern San Diego I would seek him out.

It is! Thanks you for helping me find that grill. Still not sure if I want to install the lights or not.
These are Diaz devil horns. He is a vendor on here

Bob found the grill on mcautoparts. I had to use Ace Hardware for some rubber washers, longer screws to hold the horns in place.

Truthfully I didnt find the grill. Another person on here did but I will take a little credit. Lol.
So you didn’t go for the lights? I know they are kinda played out but I put them in mine and will run them for a while. Devil horns are pretty cool if my letters break I may copy your look. I was concerned this morning about the letters on mine. I have a car wash membership and took my truck through. The guy at the wash looked at it and said it should be safe. Turns out he was right.

Tbh I forgot about the lights during the install and it’s too hot out to do it all over again. I’ll probably install them later ;)
