Yup, that’s the one. My BS meter was pegged out as the Chevy could not only drive through a river it also drove over lava without the fuel tank exploding!

I had been looking for something different than what is currently on the market for snorkels. Came across a company called In House Fab in Australia. They make a ton of off road stuff for the Hilux including a snorkel. In my opinion it is the best looking snork on the market.

Dante’s Peak made me also want a snorkel as a kid. I’m now on my second. I’m running the ARB with a
Sy-Klone Precleaner. Love it but definitely reduced power.

Yeah, the dust is unreal out hear. I’ve been out here my whole life and dust is just something you live with. People still think snorkels are for water though so most people out here ask why you need it in Tye desert. At that point I just tell them it’s my rice cooker. They get confused and I laugh.

Well I got a snorkel! The one that you guys hate. I like it. Does not block the view from the drivers seat and looks great. I don’t notice any performance decrease.

Everyone has their own taste in styling. Glad you got something you liked and hope you get the full use out of it. I think when it comes to snorkels and carbon fiber on a truck it all boils down to personal taste and what you’re planning on doing with it. Either way congrats

    thanks!
I’m ok with the carbon fiber as it’s made out of it. If it was a fake veneer I would be against it. I might get it painted white like the truck.

The reason I went for it is it hugs the side of the truck perfectly with no gap. I just went through a car wash (I know I know swirls…) and had no issues. Here are some more pictures. Yes, I’ve done the breather mods….

    Thank you.
I ordered mine from the manufacturer in California. Came in two days. No instructions but it was pretty basic. They did include a very nice fiberglass template.

However… is there a place to purchased an entire set of clips for the fender and liner? I have a clip kit but many did not fit, plus many of the fender clips are broken.

Picture of the install attached. I cleaned up the Holes so they were smooth to 60Ra or better along all edges. Then I epoxy primed the inside of the fender, edge and outside 1/2 inch around all holes and cut outs. Followed by two coats of epoxy paint on the inside and outside. I used 870 sealant between the snorkel body and the fender and around all the threads. 870 was also used around the tube where it went into the fender. I used the supplied tape along the tube portion of the snorkel. Where the transposition duct passed through the opening on the inner frame I 870’d some bulb seal to provide a right fit. I added some RTV as it’s more removable where the transition duct met the air box.

    Thanks! I ordered some.
I also did the worlds worst wrapping job to see how it looks white. I’m going to keep it on for now to see if I like it. Then I will watch more than one YouTube video and wrap it again. I like the stealth look. I need to figure out if I’m going to paint the brush guard, only reason I have stainless is that it was cheaper than the black.

Earlier someone asked if you can get rid of the Alpha logo. It appears that it is applied over the last carbon ply before the decorative clear coat is applied. So no, it would not be easy to remove and retain the finish of you wanted to keep the carbon look.

    1. I noticed it said engineered for stock intake box but will it work with a TRD cold air intake as well? Since I have one my vehicle already.

    2. I have heard with snorkels having opposite effect with doing more harm then good with water. I drive my truck through the self wash quite often and fear, if this is a true statement?

    It will fit your intake.

I have no issues with mine going through car washes.
