I really don't think it should shake at all. Hell, Raptors come with 35" KO2's and they're buttery smooth on the highway.

Now you now why you got a killer deal.

Being an E rated tire has nothing to do with it. I've ridden in too many trucks with E rated tires that rode just fine, and I've ridden in vehicles with P rated tires that rode like crap. You can get bad tires regardless of whether or not they are E rated or P rated. Some will never balance.

It's been 20 years ago this summer that I took my wife and 2 kids from here in GA to Yellowstone, down through Colorado and back home. I had a 1998 Tahoe and regular cab 1994 Dodge pickup at the time. Both had LT 265/75/16 E rated tires on them. I had never been able to get the tires on the Tahoe to balance, but the same tires on my truck were fine. A few days before the trip my wife and I drove to a local tire store and had them swap the tires before the trip so we could use the Tahoe.

We had no issues with ride quality for over 5000 miles on that trip with E rated tires, nor for any time after. The tires on the Dodge rode like crap till I sold the truck with them on it. But since it was only driven locally for shorter trips I could tolerate it

I hear you. I’m not defending KO2s or anything, I do run them and they are great.

The same can be said about pretty much any AT/RT/MT tire.

I guess I'll be putting some low profile Michelin Pilot Super Sports on the truck!

    Haha!

Well if you wanna go with Michelin, I would go with LTX2, awesome tire.

Thanks for the recommendation! I need something a bit more beefy though. Just want a comfortable all terrain that balances fine! lol

Sounds like they're out of round. You can balance an egg but it still won't turn true

You will be fine with any AT tire really. You might get a defective tire/tires, but the odds are in your favour.

I run Kumho AT51s on my Land Cruiser and love them, affordable and they grip great.

Put em on the Taco before too, been on many trips off-road and have held up tons better than my KO2 ever did.

The thread pattern looks superior to KO2s, nice.

One of the reasons I really like KO2s is the beefy sidewall they offer, also they’ve been great off-road.

None other AT/RT tire has that much meat on the sides.

You could try balancing beads https://www.abcbalancingbeads.com/benefits-of-balancing-beads-over-weights/
I had a set of Toyo AT2's that never were right! I always had a little vibration at 60-70. I put them in and it helped most of the time. I dont know why but only sometimes I would get a vibration still? I just put on a set of Goodyear Ultraterrain AT's and it hasn't driven this smooth since it was new. Can you take them back to the Jeep dealer?

    Well... shaking is gone!

Took it back to the Tire Choice that originally mounted them for me. I gave them the long story that you all have already heard, showed them the video of the steering shake.

They Road Force balanced them for free. Tech took it out on the highway and drove the truck at 90MPH. No shake at all.

None of the 5 tires were square.

I know people have their own opinions and call road force a gimmick, others that swear by it. Doesn't matter. It fixed it in this case and I could not be happier.

My previous set of Coopers was also Road Force balanced by a friend of mine that worked at a Mercedes dealership and I saw a noticeable improvement then too.

    Thanks for all the contributions!

    Serge, you liar lol.

Mrbfgko2man88 should be your new tag haha.

It's ok though because you're right. I loved my Wildpeaks, never had any issue in 50K miles. Other people here think they are the crappiest tire alive. It's a lot of money to spend on a crapshoot, but that's the world we live in nowadays.

Road force balancing isn’t a gimmick. There is a high spot in a tire and a low spot in the wheel. It allows you to match mount them getting a better balance and less vibration. This is why on tires there is a yellow and or red dot
