SR/SR5 OEM LED headlight conversion harnesses

Okay, finally got to the point I can start shipping these out! Thanks to everyone for their patience. PM's have been sent with instructions for the people I can cover in this first batch. If you received a PM and are no longer interested, please let me know so I can give your spot to the next guy. If I haven't heard from you by Friday night, I will give your spot to the next guy. You can get back in the list after that, but will rejoin it in the current last position. I don't have parts for these lying around to whip up extras unfortunately. There will be a second batch for sure, just not sure when as these are time consuming.

I will do a full install (of the wiring, not the actual headlights sadly) soon so everyone can see how easy it is. Takes maybe 10 minutes.

Ok, small update. I was doing final QC before packing these up tonight. Turns out, I am a freaking idiot and installed the connectors for the VLED controller backwards. Good news, it's fixable. Bad news, it will take a few hours to correct. I will do this tomorrow, but most likely later in the day. So I am hoping for Friday shipping. I will meet my original promise of Saturday for sure though. Thank you to everyone for their patience. Trust me, redoing these was the last thing I wanted to do...

 

Ok, time for hopefully the last update on this batch. I got them all corrected, and they will ship out tomorrow. I’ll send tracking info tomorrow as well.

Batch #1 is all shipped out. I’m going to update the instruction portion tomorrow. These are super easy to install though. Starting the queue for batch #2, but it will be a small one. A few of the parts are on back order, but I suspect it won’t be too long.

 

These should start hitting mailboxes today! I have updated the third post in this thread to show how they are hooked up. Really simple install, just make sure the polarity is correct on the headlight connections (my harnesses are color coded, so that's pretty simple). Obviously, feel free to contact me with any questions.

 

I just found this tread. And here lies the Holy Harness I have been looking for. I bought 2 Full LED headlights and cannot install them because of the wiring. Hoping to join the list for the wiring harness. I have a 21 Tacoma SR5 with no LED DRLs. 100% halogen. But purchased 2 Full OEM headlights to install.

 

You came to the right place. The next batch is going to be kind of small, but I can place an additional order for some parts. I’ll try to squeeze you in Not sure how long it will be, some of the parts are still back ordered. But I don’t expect it to be too long.

So Finally had some time this weekend, light work with one exception, the high beam for some reason don't work, they only work if I pull the level manually, if i push the level nothing happen, that's the only problem i have, unless i have to set up anything, I don't know. Everything else works properly.

I was looking into the swap as well. I don’t know much about the electrical stuff. I did see Morimoto has some sort of conversion harness. Is this similar or for a totally different style lamp?

These are for factory toyota led headlights.

 

That is very odd. The High beam connections are really straight forward, just a simple jumper really, no "conversion" happening on them. If you have your old headlights (or really, just the bulb), pull the high beam socket from the adapter and test it. Keep in mind, when the high beam is unplugged from my harness, nothing on the LED headlight will work as the whole thing grounds through that connection. But I don't know what would cause the issue besides an issue with the stalk itself? Keep me posted as to what you find though please.

Yeah, as said above, these are for running the OEM LED headlights on the SR/SR5 models.

 

I know, it is super odd, like i said everything works fine except for that. So, on the steering light switch if i pull it back to get the high beams manually they will turn on no problem so is not the bulb. When i turn the fully on the switch and push it to get the high beams nothing happen. Like i said pretty weird what is happening. I will keep checking everything.
