Juan, is it your merge collector resonating? Your issue sounds very similar to what I experienced.

That very well sounds like where it could be when I say passenger side underneath. I bought the new cai to rule things out. I installed my longtubes and URD tcai at the same time so I couldn’t say I’ve had this before one or the other mod. What did you do to fix it!!!

My issue was with the Spec-U exhaust. Originally installed with the stock manifolds/cats it sounded amazing. No issues.

A year later installed the Spec-U headers. HORRIBLE resonance at similar RPM (can’t specifically remember now, maybe 2250-2750?) it sounded almost like a heat shield was rattling against the exhaust. Very loud, but was isolated to just a particular RPM widow. Did not seem to be affected by the amount of load on the engine. It could be induced free revving the truck.

I pinned it down to the merge collector in the Y-pipe. Had the wife rev the truck and I tracked down the origin. It was the Merge in the Y.

For whatever reason, the tuned frequency of the exhaust at that RPM with the headers caused the merge to resonate. I couldn’t get it to stop, so I sold the URD exhaust/y-pipe and went back to stock exhaust/y-pipe.

I’ve been happy since and no resonance. Probably not an option for you since you’re boosted, but I wonder if that’s your issue.

Sounds the same in terms of how it sounds and can do it at will without load being an issue. I gotta find a fix….

hold on to your old hose clamps. 3 of the 4 they sent me a few weeks ago were too small.

Washed the truck and cleaned up the engine bay a little today. Also tracked down another alternator pulley thanks to Mightytacoman and that came in, so im going to give that another go next weekend
