It'll fit, might take a little "finessing", but I wouldn't let that deter you if you want 255/80's. Wildpeak and Toyo OC AT3 are your best bets for staying close to 50lbs.

I think both Falken Wildpeak & Toyo OC AT3 255/80 come in around 53#

Thanks guys. Going with the toyos. Pretty excited to get these on. I have the cooper at3 4s and they've been great. But want something with a little more sidewall protection and I'm towing a camper now about once a month. First set of E rated so we'll see how it goes.

First test trip on the Wildpeak skinnies this weekend. Went over Four Peaks trail. Nothing very rough, just lots of rocks, sharp turns, and a few steep hill. But, no rubbing so far!20210605_152510.jpg

I was able to fit a 255/85/16 under there. Just need to move the spare tire hoist back and that should give you enough space. I have a non AT spare so that probably helped me but if I did put an AT tire there I'd just need to pound the tabs back. I'm about an inch away from the exhaust and diff.

I fit my 255/85R16 under before with no problem and now have a 35x10.5R17 under the bed. I did have to chop the exhaust for the 35 to fit but a 33 will fit with little effort.

If they work for you, that’s cool. I’d be interested to hear your impressions!

I love the spare steelies. I ran those in my 2nd Gen. Loved the look but not the weight.

So far I am totally loving them, coming from 265/75 Wildpeaks which were also great.

I actually really like the stock steel wheels and found a set for $30 on marketplace. I’m happy. Form over function.

Wanted to try something new, also the Coopers were lighter. I'm like 95% pavement so these seemed more fitting. Also, cheaper. Thanks Discount Tire!

I'm sure you'll love them. I've had the at3 4s for awhile now and they've been fantastic. I'm trying the Toyo at3 now since I wanna go with 255s and e load. I'll probably be back to the coopers if these don't work out

Just switched from skinny 34" yokohamas to skinny 35" Kendas. Loving the kendas so far, the D load seems a lot better for our trucks weight. Pizza cutters for life!

Love it! Looks like you had to do some fender trimming to get those suckers to fit?
