What’s your average high and low temp for the month of June?

 

Beats me...guessing, I'd say highs 60 to 75ish, lows 50s on average. Cloud cover makes a huge difference. I compare it to living in a cooler, if no clouds then radient heat feels warm. As soon as a cloud passes in front of the sun, you realize you're surrounded by glaciers. Interior gets much hotter; 80-90°F days are common in Fairbanks. Conversely interior is also much colder in Winter.

 

I love this series. Crazy ass motherfuckers, but in my younger days, I'd give that shit a go.

I know Dustin. He used to live in Bishop until about 10 years ago. His dad, Fred Durst, was one of the OG's of Gold Rush. Dustin left to go help his dad on that show and I guess they got a spin-off. I'll have to watch the White Water series now.

Crazy as it sounds I also know another very well known reality TV start. When I was back east I used to climb with Dave Carraro. He is on the show Wicked Tuna and owns the FV-Tuna.com.

 

Shows how well I know him. His last name is Hurt. lol

I watched the first season of Gold Rush and lost interest during the following season. I was interested while they were searching for gold. Then it turned into a drama fest. Meh.
Is Wicked Tuna any good?

 

Wicked Tuna is watchable but very much a dramafest. All reality TV is that way. It's not about the industry. It's about the drama between people on the shows. lol

One of the more watchable ones I've seen recently was a show called Alone. When Survivor first came out way back when I thought it was going to be about who could survive the longest living off the land in a harsh environment. Turns out that's not what it was at all so I only watched the first 2 episodes. Alone is what I thought Survivor should have been.

It's who can stay out the longest with minimal supplies in harsh conditions. I've only watched the 1st season but it was pretty good. There's a $500K prize for the winner. It's still in production and on the 8th season. I've thought about applying to be on it. For $500,000 I'd stick it out for at least 5 years. lol

Crazy like a fox. I make $80K a year. If I went 5 years and won that's $100K a year. I just got a 25% pay increase and paid exactly zero cost of living for 5 years. That put's me way ahead. lol

Yep. I just checked the Wiki page on it. Nobody has ever gone past 100 days. I might actually send in a resume to them. I've done 47 days solo unsupported in AK so I don't think anything they throw at me would make me give up. I'm a pig headed fucker.
