My 4400nex has a removable screen that you can pouch up and take with you. Even if they stole the whole radio, it’d be useless without the password as well.

There sure isn’t much info on these Karma guys out there. No website that I can find. Looks like they’re pretty much just a faceb00k company. Too bad. I do not do faceb00k at all.

Same here with the rear speakers. Delete. Sealed up the holes with Dynamat. Really wanted to focus on the front stage.

Ok, so those Unity’s are impressive! I’ve got my amp and fronts in, bought the wrong adapters for the rears and my Resonix sound deadening delivery is delayed. And out of time to build the sub box, getting married next week. Time to read up on the tuning, but I’m stoked. Thanks for the help so far!

I'm now "making" pods for the new cdt 2" coaxial. I love playing around with the stuff.

Nice, good luck! You wouldn’t happen to have a screenshot of your tune, would you? I only had a few minutes to play with the eq settings but I know there’s improvement to be had.

    oooh! That’s gonna be awesome.

Mine are admittedly mounted less cool. I just sunk the pods into the mirror garnishes. Please share more of your apillar build pics.

Also, I had @delander over on DIYMA make me a set of speaker adapters for the midbass in the front doors. They’re bad ass. If either of you guys need adapters. He’s the guy.

I’m guessing that crossover stuff would be most beneficial for you right now eh.

    Here’s basically what I’m running.

I think I’ve got a handle on the crossovers, pretty much like that there.

Wish id seen that a bit earlier, I somehow ordered the wrong Metra rear speaker adapters on Crutchfield and went back and bought the right ones but hear they aren’t great either.

These things are beef! Heavy HPDE. Solid M8 mounting holes. Lots of mass to quell any vibes. Clears everything and is designed to space the driver to meet the trim panel just like the OE speaker. I was picky about that.

As for your tune, what else are you looking for besides xovers? Pretty much everything else will be customized when you get down to tuning.

Just curious where people have their eq’s set up. Don’t really know where to start with it

Without REW and a calibrated mic, you’re really not going to be able to eq very much.

Sounds to me that you’ve got plenty on your plate and just need to make it sound decent until you get more quality time to tinker.

I noticed a big peak at around 4K with the unitys. You might knock out a few db in that area to kill some harshness.

    Thanks

They're premade from Custom Speaker Pods. I epoxied them to the A-pillars and am working on them with body filler this week.

I bought the Audiofrog mic kit. The test CD that comes with and the super detailed instructions Andy has posted up on their site were super helpful.

I haven't updated any of the tunes in my system for a while now. I've been waiting to start over again - with the new speakers coming in, I'm going to start from scratch.....

    Here are the pods completed

    20210713_175950.jpg

I'm still not good with REW - at all. That and the TWK88 TuN and the VX TuN are different somehow, so using TWK88 as a selection to eq gets a little funky...

I wish the Audiofrog guide came with cliff notes...
