First Friday? What the heck did I miss? The new Monday once you retire?

Garder came back with an estimate. $3200. Ouch! Admitted 1.5 overgrown acre lot needs lots of work, so that was for three days on-site. Ladder and hedger trimming is something I shouldn't be doing. So much for wheels and tires for another month or two (ongoing joke every time I had cash for that, something else comes up). I abhor credit card debt.

I managed to pop my back (lumbar issues, so I need more PT work on core exercise, but leaning over to rake and bagging is painful). On the good news, I'm still going to boxing to go through the movements, which helps. Just holding off on doing any Russian twist (normally I have a 15# medicine ball, torso, and legs/feet off the ground, tap that ball on the left then right side). My lumbar is like a squished jelly donut, walking and core exercise is good but gives it time to heal (I slacked off too much during Covid shutdown of the Gym)

I did get the Taco Garage DMM done. I modified it for a dual outlet USB plug at the top. Need to give it a week, we just don't have a lot of windshield area in the Taco. I'm used to it, maybe from days of flying small airplanes.

I also installed the RCI skid plate on the fuel tank. The plastic one is fine, but I still have nightmares of putting a tree branch through an Audi Quattro Fuel Tank. Whittled a plug and a bar of soap got us home.

Photo for Susan. My pup is trying to talk me into a walk, but we are still too hot & humid this week 90F @ 75% humidity is too hot for her). We need a morning under 80% and 80humidity (6 AM was 100% humidity @ 75F). Life in the Jungle!

A little something every chance we get.
    There is running debate, but once retired, there are two major schools of thought;
    1. Normal weekdays are all Fridays. Weekends remain Saturday & Sunday.
    2. EVERY day is Saturday.
Naturally, there are subsets, such as Sunday also being Saturday, etc. I prefer the former. Because I do need weekdays for medical appts. and such, and leaves you a weekend to look forward to. Sunday, then also being the day before (First) Friday!

Good luck waiting for a <80*/80% day around here! You get maybe two until November, maybe October!

Texas, the old Indian word for land of draught that floods.

Hot steamy jungle this month. Maybe I should go visit India to cool off.
Our forecast and Ho Chi Minh City is about the same!
Time to go camping in Colorado?

    Wouldn't you like to know!
Colorado and NM are lovely this time of year! We usually go up north for a couple weeks in July - August since those are the extreme hot months.

I'll be there in a dead stock Silver Taco. I'll be there with my son.

What Android app should I need to download for Gaia? Android, Gaia GPS by Trail Behind, Inc popped up. Just want to snag a free one, but not have it pop up with "two hours use are up, pay $99 to continue use".

It's not a free app, but I have forgotten what I paid for the "basic". Which, if you want, is plenty good enough for this kind of trip. I JUST got help from them and figured out how to make locations work, so I can use it! Last time, it was just a static route. You won't really need it, and if you want, I'll show you on my phone up there.

Glad you can join us! Should be a fun day. No rock crawling! Honest.

Never seen this one. I feel sorry for the tech with heat/humidity. I guess they get to cool off between appointments.

Tire mounting in the back of their truck? At least they should get an electric awing on their truck to help them keep in the shade.
I hope they are not having to hand mount (I did that as a kid, and hate truck tires!)

The biggest question, what is going on? Did you keep stock rims?

Haven't pulled the plug just yet, but so tempting. The goal is to keep weight down.

Apparently Goodyear offers free on-site mounting now. He had the AC running in the van the whole time. Super nice guy too.

And i got 285/75/16 Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac's put on. Kept the stock wheels. all the clearances work out. They're close to the upper A arms, but no rubbing at either lock and it looks like it'll have plenty of clearance for flex at lock too.
