Mods? We don't need no stinking mods.
You couldn't offer a remote start on a manual since most people (smart people) leave it in gear when it is parked. If you tried to remote start it with it in gear, it would lurch itself across the parking lot...or right through your garage.

I guess Toyota could engineer a push button start, but they would probably have to link it to the clutch (and brake pedal?) being engaged before it would actually start.

I don't want a manual, or push to start. I like a manual transmission, and those are cool. I like manual TC, manual locking hubs, and a manual transmission.

The most practical truck would have to be a Poweboost F150. Those might be push to start.

I like those RCSB Fords, I would rather have the 3.5 EB, or 2.7 EB.

Given the choice between MT, AT, CVT or EV. My first choice is an MT, because I simply enjoy them. Yes, they're slower, take more attention, whatever. I like them, and that's all that matters.

But my second choice would be EV. I'm hoping this MT lasts me until EV's are more practical, which will be sooner than most people realize.

2WD low mod solves that issue. Life saver if you tow anything.

LOL....no. There are fail safes for manuals. I've been running one in my FJ 15 years....never happened. That is an old..old...school way of thinking.

Imma about to blow your mind.

Lots of us know how to drive a manual, we just choose not to.

I got to believe the 3rd gen is it for Manuals in a Tacoma. Industry movement is not favorable to them.

Manuals have been on the way out.

When the time comes, I am definitely going to have to make a decision about whether I purchase one of the last-year 3rd Gen manuals, or buy a fancy new hybrid Taco/4Runner/Tundra.

I’ve never heard of remote start on a motorcycle. When did that become a thing?

When I ride, I generally start the bike and let it idle while I put-on my gear. My ‘20 KTM Duke does have back-lit controls which are a modern feature which at first I looked at as a gimmick but have grown to like. I can’t think of how a remote start feature would be useful though.

I agree. Reverse is a problem in the MT especially with the weight i have on board. However, in 4wd low there is plenty of power including reverse. I am very happy with my 2019 MT.

A lot of manual cars won't start unless you have the clutch depressed.

With the Tacoma push start you need the brake depressed so I don't see why they don't have push start on the manual with just the clutch depressed...
