I have just hit over a 1000 miles on the new front brakes. So far the dust on the wheels is like night and day. Only cleaned the wheels once and that was because I washed the truck.
In another 4000 miles I'll check the amount of wear on the pads.

Just ordered a set. Fronts are about toast on mine. Driver's side seem a bit thinner than passenger. Maybe I have another bad piston.

 

It's possible or a bad hose or both.
