Feels so much better! I love the look! @7r41lbr34k3r do you recommend putting anti seize?

Nope, no anti-seize required for brass threads.

Very nice, glad it was a simple process this time! I give it a month before the inevitable barrage of "how can I get that knob?" posts.

Fun side note, me and the family are moving to the Lehigh Valley in mid-August. Maybe I'll run into you and buy you a beer! :drunk:

There is a good chance of that happening. Well, up until about 15 months ago obvi ... but I expect to get back to it immediately. Lots of great places in the LV, what part are you moving to?

Yeah, we just started going back out to the occasional brewery and restaurant this past week. Things are getting more "normal" by the day around here, finally!
We just submitted an offer on a house in Hellertown, so hopefully that works out! :fingerscrossed: We've been looking pretty much all around Allentown/Bethlehem for houses though. We were even eyeing up a renovated farmhouse just outside of East Greenville, but it wasn't in the cards. The housing market is just insane right now... :frusty:

Hellertown is a good spot, close to everything but away from the chaos. I will cross my fingers for you. A buddy of mine is a realtor, so I have a pretty firm idea of what buying is like right now. Another one of my close friends is trying to buy in Nazareth area, I have no envy for buyers right at the moment.

Put these on your list if you are coming in with little knowledge of the area:

Bacon Fest: Easton. November every year, always worth it. Food. Trucks. Everywhere.
Musikfest: Bethlehem. Do it once, love it ... then be annoyed with the traffic it brings forever.

Best restaurant (date night type stuff): Bolete, Bethlehem outskirts. Modern.
Okay wait, tied for best restaurant: Glasbern Inn, Fogelsville. Classic.
Best burger: Ocean, Easton. Don't ask me how a seafood restaurant achieved this, but they did.
Dive bar: Tavern on Liberty, Allentown .. really good food, huge beer selection.
Gastropub: Trapp Door, Emmaus .. I am here allllllll the time. Beer is overpriced, but the food is amazing/underpriced, evens out IMO.
Cocktails: Maxim's 22, Easton. Haven't eaten here yet though.
    Moar Cocktails: Hotel Bethlehem.

Keep an eye on Bear Creek Mountain Resort's schedule. They host some insane events during the off-season, including Oktoberfest. Although, admittedly ... the past few years these events have reduced in wow-factor.

Hit any of the local distilleries/breweries, none of them really stand out. Fegley's in Bethlehem is best for socializing if you like that sort of thing.

Also, The Rivalry. This tailgate is legendary, we never miss it. Well, except last year it was canceled and they made it up in April when we weren't paying attention.

Awesome, thanks for the insider-info Rick! Definitely going to try out those places, we're always on the lookout for good gastropubs! My wife and I were both born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, but she went to med school at St. Luke's and lived right beside Saucon Park for three years - so we have a bit of experience with the area. Musikfest and Celtic Fest were both favorites of ours, and definitely The Bookstore Speakeasy (highly recommended if you're into prohibition/jazz era ambience and don't mind the steep drink prices). Fegley's was always fun, although I always felt the beer wasn't quite up there with some of the more prominent breweries like Weyerbacher, Yards, or Sly Fox. If we do end up at the house in Hellertown, I'll be about a mile from Lost Tavern Brewery (which opened just after my wife left the area)... so that could be disastrous for the beer funds account!

Sorry to everyone for veering off topic. Here's a gratuitous Ti knob pic to get us back on the right track! Still too busy enjoying it to get any color-filling done yet.

We used to frequent The Bookstore Speakeasy until we were routinely treated as subhuman for using Groupon. Seriously, if it's a problem why offer the deal?

Lost Tavern, I almost mentioned it but we didn't have a great experience ... but that was basically the week they opened and it wouldn't be fair. Usually when a new place opens up, they start small and build from there. Not the case with LT, it is really nice and they clearly sunk a ton of money into it. I just hope the beer part is a bit more figured out. I mean, even in their mediocrity I'd probably still go there at least once a week if I were closer.

Ahh yes, been there before when using Groupons...

Yeah, we didn't have a chance to try Lost Tavern. They have great reviews on Google, so hopefully they got everything squared away since they first opened! They even opened a 2nd location right on Main Street in Bethlehem (interestingly inside of the Moravian Book Shop), so they definitely seem to have their assets in order - so to say.

Well that's brave, opening the location so close to Fegley's. I need to get back there. The crew has plans to hit Free Will in Perkasie soon, maybe I can convince everyone to head to LT instead.

Hey, Ti...no apologies required when you post a Ti...

Good to know the Hip spots to visit when I come pick up the Ti radio knobs.

    Nice knob!
