    The 1st Gen: All pro 3” lift (650 lbs coils, expedition rears with bilstiens),Timbren rear bumpstops, ubolt flip, diff drop, carrier bearing drop, 33’s on beadlocks ,ARB Bumper, winch, hand throttle, ARE canopy, roof bars, poly bushings all around minus the body mounts. The 2nd Gen: Leveling kit, roll up tonneau cover. 265/75/16’s

    So I’m considering selling the ADS front setup I have and just going with something like a 880 and eibach shock for a few reasons.

    I want to free up some cash, go to a 265/70r16 in a load C, and go to a lighter like the 500lb OME880 coil all for a lighter and smoother street ride.

    Besides freeing up cash Anybody think I’m just just wasting my time with attempting to get a smoother street ride?

    Any body have experience with 880s eibach and kings/ADS coilovers?

    I actually have a set of 881s somewhere. I’m looking at the 880s that are 500lb and should give me about 1.5” so level with stock rear end.

    Just lower the ads shocks. Going to the C loads will feel nice too. Then just revavle them to fit your style as needed. Cheaper all around.

    Ive considered this myself. But I’m already as low as they can go. Sitting at 2” but would prefer slightly lower for a leveled ride with stock height rear end.

    The only way I could get around this is by sending them back to ADS for the updated thinner adjustment collar.

    Next option would be to “modify” the ADS design and run the flat bottom perch which is cheaper and I could install myself. No need to worry about contact issues since I don’t have CVs getting in the way. Should work, but I’m not 100% sure either.

    And when it comes to revalving im just not sure I want to tear them all apart again. It’s a huge PITA. I did this when I modified the hoses for the MCM bracket.

    it just gets to the point where I’m throwing more money and work at them and I wonder if the extended travel shock with reservoirs at 1.5” and valved for the street is just overkill.

    Ordered some Baja XRS seats and brackets today.

    Fingers crossed that they are significantly nicer than my OEM seats which are losing all kinds of support now. 18-hour trips are no longer fun, and anyone who says it's b/c I'm getting older can just shush themselves. ;)

    Just get new springs then. Again, much cheaper. You can get 500lb coils for them. Be like 200 bucksish.

    Also interesting. Now I can test em out.

    When sawzall blades are recommended for cutting through the lca shit?

    I know you need something fancier for the hard bolts/sleeves or whatever

    I used the Diablo carbide blades from Home Depot on my leaf spring bolts

    The dewalt blades I used for those seemed to do decent.


    Could only use about an inch of the blade though...

    Heat will kill any blade quickly. Full trottle ain't always your friend.
