Thanks guys I really appreciate your support!

@BananaMan, hey you paid the shipping and keep the parts out of the landfill.

I really thought the body swap was really cool, very ingenious…
I think there’s another guy here that swapped a Pre-runner DCSB or Access (sorry my memory sucks w/ old age) to a X-runner frame. If memory serves me right he now has the only white X with an automatic. Now if he installed an boosted LS3 he have one of the fastest unique tacos! I like thinking outside the box.

Are you tagging banner or me? :rofl:I followed the build thread you're talking about with the body swapped xrunner, that thing is bad ass! I'm pretty much building a hyper 4cyl single cab x-runner... in other words, not an xrunner at all. :D

Putting the street truck to work today. It's dirty, and with all the pollen in the air I'm not winning the fight. 78A0C769-9C32-4BEA-99A9-74DFC38A4FB7.jpg

DJM drop arms in the front with Feal coilovers, DJM c-notch in the rear with 3inch blocks and 4x4 leafs. So approximately 5 inches in the front and 4 inches in the rear.

Sir I’m guessing I’m old enough to be your Grandfather and with the MOST all do respect. The Feal coilover’s have an ungodly amount of spring rate, how do you handle it? I have an Access cab that’s probably 700 lbs heavier than your Reg. cab plus an extra 80+ lbs of intercooler and supercharger crap in front of the front axle and I have 500 lbs/in springs and they are still to stiff for my liking. I have the DIY Vikings front shocks / coilover’s and just purchased 450 lbs/in or 7.9kg and I’m thinking they are still going to be to stiff! Plus I thought the blocks I sent you were 2” but I am old so my memory sucks!

I totally agree out of all the mods I’ve done to our little Taco these have been the best investment!

OMG, how low do you want to go? I pray you have a big frame notch in the rear! I highly do not recommend blocks that long. It’s not so much the blocks but the stress on the U bolts!

I had 5 inch blocks in the rear when I bought the truck, plus the 4x4 leafs. I can easily say that the DJM notch is not aggressive enough to be that low at ~ 6 inches dropped. My axle was maybe an inch away from the low profile bump stops.7F4185A5-A807-4F21-BB0A-6498E8B895F4.jpg

As for the Feal coilovers, they were installed on the truck before I bought it. I don't think they're the original Feal springs, I believe they were changed out. For me they're a good cross between ride quality being this low, and handling when I huck it around an autocross track. Pic included of the coilovers, the spring says "swift 140" on it.

@mason33x as hayrider said, with u-bolts that long, you'll get a lot of twist and axle wrap when doing "fun" things. When I took my 5 inch u-bolts out, they were bent and warped. I highly recommend nothing longer than a 3 inch block, if only for the fact that you'll be doing some serious frame modification to go with the 4.5 and have usable travel. I was bottoming out on the bump stops constantly.

Here's a side by side of the 5 inch block I removed, and the 3 inch I put in. 992D9390-D991-4A91-AB85-7E17971718DD.jpg

The 4x4 leaf pack will get you about that much. Have you c-notched your frame yet?
