how have you mounted your trail flags?

Anyone use a Stickywhip? What can I DIY? TIA

If you want to completely DIY, just get a 6 foot PVC pipe and stick a flag and marine nav light on one end.

Or the other option is to check local industrial safety shops. Sometimes an MSHA compliant safety whip can be had for cheap.

So you're wanting to DIY a whip mount? There are many ways of doing that. If you want a suction cup, it's probably easiest to use the link you posted.

Sorry. I meant that I misunderstood your post and replied on how to make a whip.

There are many ways to make a whip mount, depending on where you want it mounted. Example- rear glass, use the suction cups. If you want it mounted to the bed, make a tube clamp that attaches to the rail. It's all about creative engineering at that point.

 

What do you think of the suction cup mount? Do you think it will stay attached?

I just mount it on my actual CB antenna but you can buy flag poles with a 3/8" stud as well.

 

Ass long as your mounting surface is clean, it should hold well.

 

That's a great idea but Silver Lake requires a front mounted flag.

 

Get a ditch light bracket to mount it to?

 

no ditch lights yet. I saw some people added a bracket to them.

 

Just get the bracket and mount your whip to that?
