Here are some way-too-detailed instructions from my build thread: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/the-ugly-blue-truck.722492/#post-25728240

It's pretty easy to do without breaking anything.

    I got it from Amazon.ca
    https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B08D691JL7...t_i_QSPA3M7F459XA4WZ1G6F?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

The panel came with the quick charge usb and 12v outlets... I figured if they're junk I can replace them but I really like the panel. The outlets seem OK as well, to be honest.

A.R.E. CX HD got installed today, right around 3 months after ordering from NE Washington. Really nice topper, glad I went for the extra options and the built in rack. Great look and I'm confident it can hold a lot of weight since it's distributed down the aluminum frame and onto the truck bed. I'm considering ordering a RTT (180lbs) this week and don't have any concerns about having myself (185lbs), wife (115lbs), and two sons (50lbs/each), up on top of the cap.

Also that wireless Apple CarPlay adaptor worked well enough, but I ended up plugging my phone in so it would charge while I drive. The wireless adaptor was a little laggy and would often require me to replug it to get a connection. Not that big a deal, but it turns out that I prefer the rock solid connection that a wire affords. That's my update.IMG_0022.jpgIMG_0023.jpgIMG_0024.jpgIMG_0025.jpgIMG_0026.jpg

I've been eyeing this one. I don't think the cheap 200-300 ones compare. This one has front and rear cameras, 4k video, tamper proof lock available to keep unwanted hands from accessing memory card footage, can be hardwired. All the options add up real quick though.

Damn........ Every time I see one of these it makes me think twice about potentially ordering a topper and maybe just going with a RTT instead.

I have a tonneau (DB HD), which I love and it has been super versatile. I’ve recently found myself in a few situations where I would prefer a cap.

anyone have both and swap them out? How often do you actually make the swap?

    I jus did a supreme 3/2 spacer.

Im thinkin of goin 265 70 18. I added 1.25 spacers so i could clear the uca with a 275. But i thinj the 265s come out far enough already

I'm sure they'll look just as nice as the red stitching. But nothing like seeing someone else's and being like "Damn, shoulda done that" right after dropping 500+ smackers on something. lol

Looks fantastic! Mind if I ask what Missouri charges for personalized tags? My only hesitation is that I’m not sure how much longer I’m going to be here.
