interestingly, there is another member around here, a yota engineer in Plano, who said the same exact thing in as many words.

This 3rd gen is not losing the manual. I'm going to post it here and check back in the future, but I'm guessing the MT will be dropped with the 4th gen.

Absolutely. If they offered an AC Pro, I would have got one. At least we get an MT OR AC, unlike our [jealous] American friends who have to settle with the MT Sport AC.

You know what you have to do then. Get an OR AC and make it better than a Pro could ever be.

I am jealous of the skewp though, I won’t lie

Electric vehicles don't have gears so yeah they're all going to be phased out at some point.

They are pretty rare in my neck of the woods. I’ve seen maybe 2 in the last 3 years. Whereas I’ve seen thousands of ATs.

Sir, you need to do the 2WD low mod. It’s absolutely fantastic if you tow any kind of trailer. Your clutch will thank you and you can maneuver trailer at low speeds no problem.

Is that a reliable kit? Won’t trip codes or short circuit anything?

I am very confident with it. I installed it myself so I know it’s done right. Had it for about 2 years, used it about 15 times. Works flawlessly everytime, unless you screw up the sequence. Harnesses looked just like stock. Highly recommend if you tow any kind of trailer.

I actually used it without a trailer once when reversing up this very steep driveway. Otherwise the clutch would’ve got burned.

Years ago I predicted 2020 was the end of the manual.

So far, Toyota has proved me wrong, but many manufacturers are killing them off like flies.

    True.

Good on ferd though, offering an MT bronco. I think if they offered ranger with the MT, they would’ve had a lot more sales. Maybe, just maybe I would’ve considered one. Maybe:)

I would not be surprised if MINI stops making them soon. It was kind a pain to find a 3rd gen Cooper S that wasn't an automatic.

With that said i've heard nothing but great things about the 7 speed dual clutch in the new MINIs
