Ordered from ORT Thursday and they arrived Friday, guess it helps to be close to the warehouse. My scale weighs them at 19lbs for the 16x8. Love the concave of these OGs

Anyone have 7 extra black Muteki SR48 lugs laying around they’d want to sell? So I don’t have to buy 40 of them? I need 27...not sure what I’d do with the extra 13...

    Why would you need 27?

I just ordered 20 lugs + 4 locking lugs for my setup

Enkei Allroad RPT1 center caps. 106mm bore so I had to use push-thru center caps and epoxy these in to fit. My enkei's are the Og 108.6mm bore.

I made the mistake of buying my wheels before I read this entire thread, and I think I'm in a bit of a bind.

I got the 16x8 106.1mm bore, thinking that since they were the same size as the stock rims, they would work, but on further inspection, I understand the issue with fitment people are talking about: the hub has a metal cover that pushes too deep into the wheel (see photo).

Without that, the actual 106.1mm part of the hub only extends ~10mm, while the inside of the wheel has ~12.5mm of room, so it should fit without that black cap.

My question is: is that cap essential for some reason, or is it just a dust/water cover? Is it possible to remove and replace with something else (e.g. one that I 3D print to be flush)? Looks like from https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/wheel-hub-dust-cap-damaged-required.574082/ it seems "strongly recommended", but not essential to the proper functioning of the hub.

Otherwise, is the best option to get spacers to avoid that cap, or just return the wheels (paying for shipping and the restocking fee) and get the ones with a 108.5mm bore?

Thats a bummer; I am about to place an order for 16x8's. What is the Enkei part number for the wheels you have?

The dust cover in your photo covers the axle nut and hub bearing seal, you are probably fine 3d printing a cap for it.

This also might be why tire rack doesnt allow the 16's to be put on a 4wd model but will for the 2wd.

They are showing their 16" models as the #528-680-8400.

it's totally fine without the center caps...my FN wheels have been cap-less for 75k miles and haven't had a single problem. Been through mud/water/dust...never a problem.

Have you ever tried to remove that factory cap? It's on there REALLY good...takes quite the effort to remove it. Doubt any water or dirt is getting past it.

Yep, that's the PN I have. I was curious if the 2WD didn't have the covers (if it's an OR/PRO thing?), so maybe?

Good to know; I've seen some other threads asking how to take it off and the answer seems to pry really hard (and usually destroy it...). I doubt something I 3D print will be quite as good of a seal (though I've been thinking of adding a bead of RTV or similar to seal), but sounds like it's probably good enough!
