Sorry if I missed it, but why doesn't this kit apply to long beds?

I can't answer your question but I ran across this long bed with a factory lift.

Had a dealer order this lift kit for me and install set for middle of next week. I’ll report back my thoughts. I’ve had my new truck for a week as of yesterday.

Some dealers have done it and several people have done it with no issue. Mine goes on this Friday and I’ll be posting pictures and results up. It must be a center of gravity thing due to the longer wheelbase or something for the dealers to say they won’t do it… I haven’t found a real answer as to why they won’t though

My guess is load related to rear axle. Something likely reaches a safety range that the engineers or lawyers thought better to just exclude long beds. Perhaps shock performance.

I’d agree it’s likely just a CYA situation and was easier for them to exclude. These shocks and struts are basically just 5100s rebranded anyways from the looks of it and 5100s work perfectly fine on the long beds.

Mine JUST started doing it this weekend... If I hot something straight-on, no clunk at all. With the wheels turned just a bit in any direction, I get the clunk. Headed to the dealer tomorrow for warranty work - let's see what they say. A buddy had a very similar lift on his Frontier, and it was a very minor issue - bushings not seated properly and the gap left some wriggle room.

The US 6MT Premiums do have parking sensors, I can tell you that for sure. I think I do remember reading here that they leave them out of Canadian ones though for some reason.

Gotta say I’m liking my oem lift so far. That extra 2 inches helps a lot going over obstacles.

FOLLOW-UP: Had the truck looked at by the dealer. There was a nut loose on the lower control arm. Re-torqued and thread-locked. We'll see.

I might be over thinking this....

just installed an eibach pro-truck 2.0 lift kit very similar to the trd kit considering they both use a 1” block in the rear.

So my question is should I be worried about my ebrake bracket. Seem to be under just a slight bit of stress when reinstalled with the 1” block installed. Considering the trd kit requires the relocation it has me a lil more concerned. Does any one have a better pic of these parts or refer me to a thread tha talks about this issue. 6D4BB483-80D7-4D34-8FBF-ECD2B3C53D39.jpg
