Realized when I got in the truck at lunchtime that I left my floor mats hanging at the car wash yesterday.
Stopped by on my way home but obviously they weren't there any longer. Gonna try calling tomorrow and hopefully they have them.

 

Finally gave in and did it:

Front and used the 3/4 rear spacer

Seat blocks from these awesome folks

Upgraded to a BPF front skid from @Wyckedan anybody do anything to close up that gap?
Also have some inner and outer tie rod ends on order.

The bolt hit the frame, and broke the welded on nut lolol. Going to look for shorter bolts I think.

 

That...might be my bad. I probably got longer bolts because of the washers I used, and forgot about it. I can weld that nut back on if needed

 

No worries! Ya when we install your lift we can look at it. I'll get some shorter bolts and see what's up.

 

There’s supposed to be a gap if I remember correctly. Allows some wiggle room so that the skid plate doesn’t damage the bumper upon whatever impact

Ever had any issues with the license plate being mounted on the skid? I was thinking about doing the same since I can't stand it being on the bumper but here in ca they're really uptight about being able to see the front plate.

 

Installed a lil fan in the back. Summer is here!

 

That's what I thought, but I used about an extra inch of washers so the bolt wouldn't bottom out on the frame, if I just get shorter bolts and use the supplied spacer, I think it will still leave enough of a gap for that.

 

I had the license plate mounted like that for about 3 years with zero issues. With the new skid I'm not running a front plate. Well see how long that lasts lol

 

I have that BPF skid and use an @ACEkraut bracket for the license plate. I had mine rhino lined years ago and it's starting to peel so fixing that is my next project.

 

Just confirming the two bolts holding the carrier bearing (for a diff drop kit) are tq'd to 27-30ftlb?
