Getting ready to install a complete stereo upgrade on my 2014 Tacoma double cab, non JBL p.u. I live way out of town and want to make sure I have what I need in hand upon the time of installation. The head unit I'm installing is a Kenwood DNX573s. My question is do I need and if so, which part to maintain my steering wheel controls? Does this unit support steering wheel controls?

Go to idatalink.maestro.com, there harnesses will integrate best with your Kenwood to retain steering wheel controls and other features.

When you put in the year and make of your truck it will list what you need, the RR plus one of the Toyota harnesses I think the RTO2

They both do the same thing. The RR2 has added GPO connections in the event you want extra flexibility to control accessories from canbus events.

How'd the install go? I'm going to upgrade to a dnx 793s and curious how good the maestro stuff is?

I used to do stereo swaps when I was in high school, but they were nothing near as complex as these. I ordered the parts yesterday and I'm hoping to get everything in this weekend. The radio was leftover from my wife's previous car and she likes the one in her new car so it's been in a box for a couple years, but I remember it being pretty nice and I don't like entune.
