It's the dang South Dakota wind for me. One second all is well, next second a huge side gust about takes your wheels out from under ya haha. Hard to relax for a while after those ones!

I agree, I'd rather ride in the rain than in the wind. Waterproof gear exists and works pretty well these days. As long as your tires aren't bald and your gear is good it's not that bad, IMHO.

Both good points, but im not going to invest in rain gear if i never plan on doing it again. I don't commute, I ride for pleasure, so I don't have to ride in the rain if I don't need to.

if I get caught in a quick shower that's fine, but thats also not enough motivation to get specific gear.

My BMW gear came with the liners to keep you dry but it doesn’t breathe very well.
I don’t mind riding in the rain and the first time I did I was nervous as hell but the more and more I do it, the more comfortable I get with it and understanding how the bike handles and how remarkably well the tires maintain grip.

I have been considering a rain suit and storing it in the top case for those times you get caught in a storm or something.

I paid my dues riding in the rain as a young man, now as a grey beard I can change directions as I don’t have destinations anymore. Made the mistake Saturday of letting the youngsters lead,,,,,, we got soaked

Frogg Toggs are surprisingly good gear not just for rain but even help when it's cold.

that bumper is worse than a 3rd gen ARB..

but I agree. @w.adventures get one of those for $5500 instead of a bike. They are usually manual, with f/r lockers, and probably can go the same speed

@w.adventures 15 and 81 are far superior to 95 but 29 may be better. Still lots of trucks on 81.
