If you haven't looked yet, you'll find that new aftermarket lower control arms are pretty reasonable. I'm reworking my entire front suspension, and found that at $139 shipped for a set from Detroit Axle, whom I've had good luck with, it wasn't worth just replacing the ball joints.

Hows the quality on them? I’m getting parts inline for my lift. I have whiteline bushings and moog ball joints on the way just wanted to get it all pre assembled in the mean time.

I bought an OEM set of LCA from this site and had my WL bushings and ball joints installed in advance. My suggestion would be to keep in mind that pressing the bushings in is expensive unless you can do it yourself.

I have access to a press but if that one won’t cut it I can bring them into work. How are you liking the bushings? Was it night and day?

I would say that it seems like my truck is smoother. I would also say that my suspension is somewhat quieter over speed bumps, but that could be attributed to the poor condition of the OEM rubber bushings that were replaced. Night and day difference? No probably not, but I feel these will probably last longer than the NAPA or whatever your favorite parts store control arms for virtually the same price. Longevity was my main reason for going this way.

I've had good luck with Detroit Axle stuff in the past. The set I ordered this time around comes assembled with new ball joints and bushings, so nothing to press. When you start mixing and matching OEM or different brands, you can run into tolerance issues. Sometimes a simple ball joint replacement can turn into a pain in the backside. For as inexpensive as they are, it just makes sense to me to get them complete and ready to bolt in.

    Fun thread! I can contribute.

Bought my daughter a matching pair of Falken AT3 wildpeaks, 285/75r16. Mine are on my tacoma, hers were on her 2x chevy. She found a 4x4 dodge like 5 weeks later and sold the chevy, but the new buyer didnt need or want the wheels/tires. Soooo. Away they go! Not even 1000 miles put on them. Still have the fuzzy nubs on the side!

    The details- https://prescott.craigslist.org/wto/d/prescott-falken-at-r16-mounted-on-chevy/7333639209.html

I am in Prescott, which is about 90 minutes north of Phoenix, depending where you are in phx. Same amount of time to drive south from Flag.

Asking $950 for now as they just listed, OBO as things progress.

Any questions just ask, here or PM, or via CL it all works. If I missed any pertinent details per the rules let me know (I think I got em all?)

I’m looking for some factory side steps/nerf/running boards whatever you want to call them for my Tacoma. Is it true that all Tacoma Access cabs from 2005 to current are the same? When I’ve looked at shops online I’ve gotten several different stories and it always seems to be that I’m supposed to buy whatever is more expensive on their shelf. If anyone has any they would like to sell and they are in the southern Arizona or Phoenix area let me know.

You'll be able to find the Predator running boards for pretty cheap, just keep looking on Offerup, CL etc.

But, if you have any inkling that you want to go offroad, I would bypass that style and go straight for sliders.

Thank you for the help. I forgot about Offer up and Craigslist has had nothing and Facebook market place has only seemed to have sketchy sales on it. I looked up sliders and that’s definitely more than I want or need. I’ll go down a dirt trail once in a while but this truck is mostly used as a daily driver. I just need something to help my joints when I’m getting in the truck.
