I'm not completely familiar with all the SBR restrictions but if I order from Larue or well anybody really do I need to send them the flash hider that goes with the suppressor and have them do it before I get it or can they send me a 14.5" barrell and i can do it myself without having to apply for any stamp on the rifle?

Suppressors are enjoyable when you can swap them around on multiple uppers on varying calibers. I only own two dedicated lowers, one pistol lower and a rifle lower with the same upgraded Geissele trigger and Voltor A5 buffer system. The Q line of supressors offer a cherry bomb muzzle attachment which is standardized on all my uppers. I learned how to adjust my gas system accordingly on each upper to function optimally, yes it took multiple trial and error but the knowledge you gain is well worth it. Shooting suppressed with new young shooter has made it an enjoyable family experience. Suppressed 6.5G and 300blkout are fun to hunt/range plink with within the appropriate range and dedicated optic. It just sucks ammo prices are jacked up right now but given time hopefully it'll stabilize...I'm being optimistic here. 6 months wait from the ATF was quite impressive, get your paper work in order and start hiding your funds from the Wife! That's the Trigger Action Chassis. It's so you can test the pull of certain grips and trigger groups. It's a fun little gadget. You can sit and dry fire it all day long if that's your thing. Yeah, the Larue stock functioned perfectly fine with a good cheek weld and great sight picture, but I wasn't a fan of the looks. I ditched it and got what I wanted.

most places will give you the option of muzzle device or sending in your own

you can do it yourself but most dont do it properly and tig it in place

most places your order a sbr from will likely offer their engraving services to keep markings consistent as well

You can order the barrel without having a flash hider pinned

Once you get your barrel, grab your chosed muzzle device and take it to a nearby gunsmith to have it pinned

You only need to pin the muzzle if you don't want to file SBR paperwork

I was cranking out form 1 cans a few years ago, until the ATF cracked down on all the parts manufacturers in 2019/2020.

20 day stamp approval and pretty much any internals you could imagine.... Fun while it lasted!

    Yeah.
Apologies for crossing a line there, assuming our friend @JimBeam did a little cleanup (and thanks for not banning me).

Ordered a LaRue LTMBT-2S for the new lower, need a lower kit with no grip or FCG. Any suggestions? Not much to them, and they are all over the board on prices for a few tiny parts. I'd like one with anti-walk pins, for one less thing to worry about.

Nice. Just make sure you pull the handgaurd and check the barrel nut torque, and the gas block torque/alignment. Trust me they are put together by children

Speaking of barrel nut torque, I'm getting ready to put together my AR25 (what I'm calling it since it's not an SR25, don't get all worked up). What torque would you say is appropriate? I forget what I put on my .300 blk build, but that one was specified by geissele. I wanna say it was in the neighborhood of 80 ftlbs, but that sounds like a lot.

I went with the Sons of Liberty Blaster LPK for a lot of my lowers. They use cast, forged, and hardened parts, not MIM, and made in the USA. You won't need antiwalk pins. I've NEVER seen a trigger or hammer pin fall out. Plus the Larue MBT pins have the cutouts in them, that keep them lined up in your receiver. They look cool though.

Thanks, glad I wasn't far off. I'll probably do the same 50-70 two or three times since it's a .308.

My PSA billet ar-9 lower from day one would have the trigger and hammer pins walk out after 15 rounds. Not all lower brands are equal is what I learned that day. Bought some anti walk pins off eBay for $8 and problem solved. Been good like that for 5 years now and probably couple thousand rounds.
