Same way with campers. One of our customers in the store sales campers and he said it’s been insane and they can’t keep them on the lot.

 

And I believe it! It’s reflected in the fact that it’s almost impossible to reserve a site anywhere recently!

 

A guy I went to school with went to a local place here a couple months ago and said they were booked through September. It’s nothing spectacular either.

 

We camped out at White Rock Mountain in Arkansas a couple weeks back and the campground was pretty much full. We went in 2019 and we were the only ones there.

 

The way we’ve been recently doing it is just planning a trip, but not with a destination in mind. We then check the last minute cancellations that are within a reasonable distance that we want to travel, then we decide between what’s available and GO!

 

Just find some public use areas where you don't need reservations. Well if you're prepared for primitive camping that is. I just use the truck for power if I need it.

 

Sounds like if you ever wanted a good deal on a boat or camper....they're coming.
I think tomorrow is going to be drill sharpening day, a few anyway. This old machine is Farrel brand and sharpens good as new, only drawback is it spits oil on you...I'll put a apron on but still probably get a facial....just grin and bare it..

 

We did that once for our anniversary when Cole was really young. It was getting late and the first campground the GPS took us to was non existent. The second one was nice, and it was really dark when we got there

Trick from a corpsman buddy of mine: Go buy a box of non-lubricated condoms, snip the closed end off, stick your arms through. Keeps it water resistant and doesnt rip your arm hair off.

 

I believe one option is saniderm. Or the other products like it. They use it for burn victims. Its water proof but it breathes. I've had tattoo shops use it on me and it works great. After 3 or 4 days it comes off cleanly

 

What is wrong with people these days?

Our ice box belongs to the people who bring ice. We get low, I call, they bring ice. It’s their job.

Sometimes it takes them a day or two to bring it. I try to call in advance so we don’t run out, especially in the summer.

I called this morning cause I knew we were low, I guessed we had 8 bags. I didn’t count them. I just knew it was low.

They just came. He came in, he’s in his late 50’s probably and proceeded to cuss me about we had closer to 20 bags and we would have been good for days.

I paid him cash what we owed him, looked him square in the eye and told him I was sorry to waste his time.

Had I not already tried to get a different ice company to bring us ice and been shot down I would have drug him in the parking lot for talking to me like that in front of my 5 year old daughter and whooped his ass. It burns me up that vendors treat stores the way they do, especially us small ones.

 

A shipping crate full of soil and zucchini?

 

I’d f’n be pissed as well!! But glad you kept your cool…. Some times it pisses them off the cooler we are as they think there shit don’t stink

 

Update 3 on DIY bed stiffeners

Test fit went well. Only minor adjustments on 2 of the holes. Bedliner is drying. I'll probably put them on later this week counting the paint I'm now at 45$ total.
