    Tell them you're gonna dispute the charge on your credit card, so it would be in their best interest to return your call, stop the shipment, and avoid having the pay the shipping to you. You'll see how fast they'll call you back.

    Yeah, I'm not into threatening them or trying to reject shipment or contest charges. I asked, politely and repeatedly, if they would just do the right thing. If they choose not to, then I'll tell that story and they can own their decision. If they pivot and take care of my situation, then I'll tell that story, which I am sure would be far more favorable to them. I'll tell it like it is whichever way they choose to go.

    If it were my small business, and I had the power to make or break any relationship with a customer, I'd take the high road. This is an easy fix, and costs them nothing. A no brainer to me.... but maybe they feel like I'm just one guy with personal problems, and its my fault I ordered the tent and now cant use it. We'll see how the story unfolds.

    Just spoke with Eric. We had a good conversation and he agreed to help me. He and his family are trying hard, and did the right thing by me. He asked if I'm ever in the market for a tent in the future to call him directly, and he'll make sure everything goes perfectly, and I trust that he will. When the time comes, which I hope it will, I WILL be calling.

    If your reading all of this, and the thread as of late to this point, I ask you to consider this: If you started a small family business, serving very demanding customers, during the worst pandemic ever, when everyone suddenly decides to get outdoors, and demand suddenly went through the roof, while your supply line was decimated, how much could you really do about it? Its not DA's fault things got delayed and went to hell in a handbag, and it's not my fault I had circumstances change during those delays to cause me to need to cancel my order. That tent would be on top of my truck had I been able to put it there, and it will be when I am ready to put it there. Eric and DA came through, did the right thing to help me, and will continue to make good gear for all of us. I don't think a couple cosmetic QA problems, or a few bad exchanges with some of us, myself included, is a reflection of their intent nor the overall quality of their product.

    and Rich, you deserve a lot of credit for manning the front lines at TW for DA. I made sure to reiterate that with Eric. He said you have a bright future.

    Happy to hear of this outcome. It honestly seems to me like now that they are not in the daily rush getting tents out to customers (which should have been priority IMO) they are making the time to have the conversations and make sure the unhappy/unfortunate are also being taken care of. It's hard to expect much more in the current climate from a small business and I agree with you, will support a new family run small business over the big guys any day of the week.

    Now, to figure out WTF FedEx did to my tent. It was originally due for delivery today although I had not gotten a call from them to schedule:

    I do the best I can. I try not to put my personal opinions out there but I’m human.

    And for all of you with or had issues. I have been pushing HARD to get them fixed. Those DA folks have been doing the right thing. Same as me, they let some emotions out that shouldn’t have been. But we are all human.

    I’m hoping we all can get past this. DA tents are actually not that bad. They are a great option for a hardshell, with quite a lot of accessories.

    Same. I got an email from Eric saying they would process it yesterday and he doesn’t know if I’ll revive an email from PayPal. He said it usually takes 3-5 business days to process. I was assuming I’d see an automated email from PayPal.

    Thats not kind for you to judge. Its not important the amount of money, its the princible that the process is obviously is being slow rolled. Maybe he would like to use those same funds to purchase from another vendor, so he can finally get what he wants.

    That’s not kind of you to chime in when you have no idea how it works with DA refund process.

    It takes 3-5 days for the business to transfer the money back to your account.

    You’re just stirring the pot at this time. You don’t even own a DA tent.. soooo…
