Hi @recess I've been checking out this awning but all the pictures show it with a shell. Since I don't have a shell or bed rack I was thinking of using it as you picture it, or even over the rear portion of the cab. So thanks for posting those pics! How's it working? And, if you put it over the rear portion of the cab and ran the side straps down to the sliders a little ahead of where you have them, could you close the back doors over the fabric? I'd like the forward portion of the awning higher than bed height, but still able to use the back doors for access, if that makes sense. Thanks.

I'm proud to have landed in Missouri, and yes $15 for me too. Georgia was free I think but I have no problem supporting this State. Thanks to all of you for your service.

I had @kmorgan3 make me up a PnP T harness so that I could tap into the security circuit that flashes the LED in the dash(see pic)for my shift knob illumination project, the dash illumination circuit(for glove box LED) and the accessory circuit for add on switches(ABC switch) under the environment controls.

Did you want details on what LED and wire harness I used for the glove box illumination?

Why are Rotopax mounts such - piece of crap?

the lock mounts are designed to fail. Mine is rusted through and seized. Now I can get it off. Anyone with a clue how to destroy this POS?

Hit a trash can on the freeway. Not even really close to any homes. That bastard must have blown a good ways.

    Secure your cans people.

Many years ago I was driving home on the freeway in a 2002 Camaro SS lowered with hotchkis suspension. There was dead coyote in the road and I couldn't go around it due to traffic, so I slowed down as best as I could, tried to avoid it, but ran it over. Car was fine, but my dog went out in the garage later that night to sniff the car and pee'd on the tire.

Lately I've seen empty 5 gallon buckets on the freeways and roads. I don't drive as fast as I used to, but sometimes stuff's unavoidable.

None that I have seen so far. I thought I would have had a cracked plastic "bumper" area but no.

It was not the big ones with the hinged lid and wheels. Was a maybe 30-40gallon round one of brittle plastic. Mostly just shattered.

Worst is when some idiot loses a 5 gallon bucket of paint (always seems to be white paint) that splatters on the road. Then you run it over and the tire spray gets it on the body & frame.
