I used the sdhq inner boots before but still ended up tearing them about every year. Had better luck since switching to rcv's but they don’t make them for oem stuff

How much did your front get lifted from the kit? I think people used SDHQ at some point but never had to mess with boots on my 2nd gen since it’s 2wd.

Man I just got a 97 4runner for my wife to drive since she can’t drive my manual rigs. Had a torn cv boot and it’s already making me want to get manual hubs for that one too. Pain in the neck lol.

I was so jealous of @dirtaddiction / Dutchman on IG with his solo xlt kit because he had manual hubs. I was at least once or twice a year for cv boots when I was dd’ing. Luckily I only put about 3k miles a year now and the RCV boots are nice and thick. Hoping to get a few years out of them now but should probably order up a pair or two of boots to have on hand

    Yes
The SDHQ boots are just Empi boots and they suck. I’ve had much better luck with genuine OE boots

I assembled my axles today, thanks for the tips. It was incredibly easy. First one I was able to push on by hand, second I tapped on the concrete. Took less than an hour to assemble the outer portion.

I still can’t get over how beefy these 934 axles are. The thing is as big as my arm.

I know the feeling. Just spent $650 on some glass fenders yesterday and $250 on some spindles the day before that.

Those are always fun until you get that post nut clarity and think to yourself "Wait a second, how did I manage to spend $1700 in the past 4 days on all seemingly minor stuff?"

Are you even working if you're not in croc's? They're the ultimate shoe.
