Anybody good at fixing AR15s? Mine is short stroking and I can’t figure out what it is. My gas block seems aligned. Been fighting trying to figure out but I’m not the best at fixing guns.

 

Have you been firing a consistent brand/grain load to experiment with variation in the problem?

Thanks fellas, I think it’s a great looking piece but tbh I bought it on a whim and just don’t need 2 full size pistols in 9mm and could use the funds elsewhere.

Not to mention it just sits locked up so what’s the point in keeping it. I will say for all the shit people give Glock triggers, I don’t have any issue with this one whatsoever.

 

I had an AR10 that I built that was doing this, was the gas block alignment. Gas key on the bolt carrier tight? Lubrication?

 

If you need a red dot, I have a Vortex Sparc 2 I need to get rid of. NIB, never mounted.

The bucket of .22lr Remington I bought a few years ago always seem to jam up the 22 pistol. I’m going to try some CCI 1400-1600 FPS rounds. Anyone have any experience with some solid all around .22 ammo?

 

My 22lr handgun is jamming on CCI quiet but with the high velocity, it works good. The CCI high velocity and the Remington thunderbolt works good with my kidd 10/22

 

I've gone through CCI Mini-Mags (RN and HP), Federal BYOB, and Aguila HV (RN and HP) without issues in a Browning Buckmark. All copper plated high velocity stuff. I generally see the most recommendations for Mini-Mags.
