Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau

That makes sense. I guess it could potentially cause more problems than it would be trying to prevent.

 

Hi All,

New member here. I'm interested in purchasing one of the Lomax Hard Tri Fold Tonneau cover for my Tacoma. Looking through the pictures that everyone has posted, it seems like nearly all are 2016 and newer. Does anyone have first hand experience with this tonneau cover on the previoius model Tacoma? I currently own a 2012 TRD Off Road access cab. Thanks!

 

Unfortunately the Lomax covers aren't currently made for the Tacoma previous to the 2016.

 

Just got my Lomax cover delivered and installed. Installation was easy and seems to be great quality.

Does anyone else think their Lomax cover looks gray instead of black? Mine is definitely gray....but I think it still looks good!

I think it looks good too, and likely better to keeping the bed not so hot in the sun than black would.

Thanks for the opportunity... we appreciate it. Yes, some folks seem to think the Matte looks more dark gray than black. Others say its black for sure so I guess its in the eye of the beholder.

I got my Stance cover from @GotExhaust last weekend, and after a busy week of work, rain, and family activities, I was finally able to install it last night. It took me a little longer than most, but I had to remove the factory cover and all of its screwed in pieces, take off the cut rail covers, clean a ton of pollen off of the areas where the old cover had trapped it, and install the new uncut rail covers before I could install the Stance.

Next item is to paint the brackets that go on top of the truck to match the factory blue before I install them. And of course the baby needs a good washing.

Thank you to @907rx7 for helping me out with some pictures of his install that helped me get the front weatherstrip correct.

And thank you to @GotExhaust for being patient with me, answering my pre-order questions so quickly, processing my order quickly, and providing a great product at a fair price.

Shout out to GotExhaust for hooking me up with my Lomax tri-fold. I had it on the truck within an hour of it being at my door.


I may re-weather strip the rails at some point as I went a little heavy handed with the stripping on the drivers side, which caused me to be a little short (or have just barely enough) on the passenger. I should have initially cut the stripping in two even pieces but that's on me. We did get some pretty heavy rain last night and when I dropped the tailgate this morning it was bone dry...so I may have accidentally done a good enough job. Haha.

Anyway, I absolutely love the look and the security it provides. Installed some bed lights too (highly recommend those as well since it's super dark under the cover). Will be adding a power tailgate lock at some point as well.
