I just had new 16” 2020 Tacoma TRD Pro wheels installed on my 2020 Off Road. They look awesome and I want to try to keep them that way. Does anyone have any suggestions regarding coatings, sealants or wax to help protect them while keeping the satin finish intact? I live in Wisconsin so they will see road salt unfortunately. Thanks for any advice.

In my experience the factory wheel finish is pretty tough. No special treatment needed if all it sees is road salt on pavement. And if you take the truck off road, those wheels will get gouged no matter what.

I use Pinnacle Black Label Wheeling Coating once a year on my TRD Beadlocks. Haven't needed a bottle of wheel cleaner since. Only soap & water. Still look new after 7 years.

I’ve used Carpro Dlux with good success on our 4Runner that has the TRD Pro wheels. Doesn’t add shine but makes the wheel darker.

Agree, if you want to keep your TRD wheels this way, never take it off road. Keep your old set of wheels for that purpose. Just swap them out on off road trips.

I cannot tell if the OP's wheel are gloss or not but with the 4runner Pro wheels, they will start looking chalky and the red lettering will fade. I found that out the hard way. Even if highway use only the wheels need protection.

I just used FW1 Wash and Wax for the first time on my wheels and am impressed. They are the 17in matte instead of the 16in gloss, but I would imagine it would clean/protect the same.

Pic is after 200+ Highway miles traveled post-wash.

I have used: Meg's Fast Finish or Collinite Insulator wax on wheels, now I use Griots Cermanic Speed shine - works perfectly.

Tied several boat anchors to my truck to destroy MPG.
I was also worried, and I scratched mine immediately off roading. i suppose i could just paint them or sharpy the scratches, but I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb.
