    1. Don't know or care how much over weight it was.
    2. Slowed down to about 80.
    3. Drove faster than the cops.

I'm not, remember I robbed a bank and drove faster than the cops with a ton of gold bars in the bed.

Got tired of my anemic reverse lights, so installed these LEDs. Should also help with tailgaters

For anyone who has trimmed more than the regular CMC on their cab mount to fit bigger tires has anyone trimmed the back side of the cab mount? My sliders currently rub against the back side when I go over anything that isn't smooth and it sounds horrid. I have tried prying the sliders back as far as they can go so I was thinking of trimming the back side corner with a cut off wheel to gain some clearance. Professional cad drawing below to show where.

I'm fresh out of TW jail. Whu-who.

A couple of weeks ago I installed a life sized cup holder. I bought it at a local marine shop.
    20210610_070929.jpg

A few days after the cup holder install I broke my custom hitch with an improperly loaded boat that didn't have an outboard on it (counter balance weight). It broke four 1/8" thick 2" wide metal straps and it broke the main brackets which were 1/4" thick.

    20210526_181156.jpg
    20210526_181205.jpg

So I redid the hitch (again). I lowered the receiver 3". I modified the drop hitch from a 15" drop to a 11" drop for less leverage. I duplicated the factories style of receiver mount and used two 7/8" bolts and two 9/16" bolts per side. I changed every piece of metal to 1/4" thick and since I duplicated the factories mounting style there aren't any straps used any more. I completely boxed in the frame from the receiver back and added supports in front of the receiver to the frame.

I discovered most of my traction bar mounts had cracked.
    20210606_101235.jpg

So I rebuilt those same mounts and added a bracket that connects the traction bar to the axle tube. I welded a pad similar to a leaf spring pad to the axle tube to give some support for the brackets that had cracked. I ditched the traction bar front shackle for a solid pivot system and used a spherical rod end with a 7/8" grade 8 bolt. I've been driving it very hard, including some heavy towing, for a week now with no failures - yet. This traction bar completely changes the way the truck drives and is worth every second of effort.

Yesterday I loaded an engine into the bed of my truck and ripped the stock tailgate cap. Now that I'm back on TW I gotta find that tailgate cap that I saw that I liked so I can buy one.
    20210610_071053.jpg
I use those ribs to hold tools and hardware when I'm working out of the truck, often on unlevel ground, so that's going to stay.

After I dropped off the engine at the freight company I had the truck washed. Pretty poor job so I'm going to have to redo that myself.
    20210610_071136.jpg

About a week ago I rotated the trucks tires.

That's all that I've done to the truck in the last month and a half (roughly). Peace.

edit: all of the new welds for the hitch and the traction bar were done with helium/argon/CO2 mix versus my regular mix of argon/CO2. The helium gets the metal a LOT hotter and gets a LOT more penetration with my 110v mig welder.

WHat kind of sliders do you have? That shouldn't be happening.

Explore Overland, from what I take it they sold other brands sliders but this may be one of their first swings at in house built sliders? im not entirely sure on that but as soon as they got installed they hit something and its only over bumps where my frame would take some of the flex.

Sounds like someone miss measured some gaps. If you chop the front of your cab mount I wouldn't do the rear but maybe trim some off the front of the sliders
