I have a google phone, so may be different on another android phone, but mine will automatically download maps in the areas it sees me in most like Annapolis or Mechanicsville. I have to optionally download extra ones, so I did all of VA, all of MD + Western MD/Easter WVA, and up into PA/AOAA area since I figured those are the area's I'd likely be in without service for off-roading or whatever reason.

from google downloaded map, I started getting a real map of the road just about as soon as I left the site.

 

I have the area around Flagpole downloaded. I just always forget to do the rest. I should probably do something like this when I'm just staring at my phone. All this technology!

 

The map built into my truck was able to pull up maps. The resolution sucks so that when you zoom out, you can't see any minor roads/trails, but it was good enough to let me know I was heading generally toward I-81.

 

Mine usually ask if you want to DL if it recognizes dead spots in route. I also keep an old Garmin from 2012 in the truck for backup. I really like that it shows names of next street so I usually keep it on.

 

Currently sitting at camp watching a Storm over the Atlantic.

I really need to do cape lookout!! I'm thinking October would be nice if the hurricanes hold off.

 

I have a tear on one of mine that I rubber cemented back down. It's been at least 15k miles since I made that repair.

Has anyone had a exhaust relocate done at RJ’s in Sterling va? I have RCI skid pans and every time I come back from Uwharrie NF the transfer case skid plate is up against the exhaust. I have tried washers as spacers but that cross member is only sheet metal and bends when pan takes a rock hit or high sides on log. I am going to make a bracket to go between the frame mounts to strengthen the cross member but I think I will do the relocate to eliminate that low spot. The rocks at BigCreek are challenging as are two trails at UNF.

 

I got mine done at Hi-flo Custom Exhaust in Manassas a few years ago . I think is was around $200.

 

Always used to go to Hi Flo for all my cars, Scott is the best in the exhaust game. Havent been out that way in quite some time i would hope hes still there

Weld some angle to strengthen it. I can do it for you for cheap.

 

Anyone know if CVT tents sold out to another company? I got instant email replies when I bought this tent but can't get any answers now that I have a proplem with it.

 

Quick Google search doesn't indicate that. Latest showed they opened a third show room last year. Try Open Corporates or Black Book Online. Both are free open source business searches that should show current owner and upper mgt.

 

Put some new shoes on the old scratched up wheels. 10 ply Kevlar KO2's. That's the wheel I beat up on the trail. Here's to no more trail flats!

I held off the spare for now and kept two of the Revo 3's. I almost went with 33's until the price took a jump to four digits. Too much for an unplanned purchase with a bumper and sliders to finishing install. Although I did think about it. I mean it's only money and I'll get more next week, right?
