hello everyone, im new to the site, and i joined mainly because i was looking for cb radio antennas. specifically bent down over the top of the cab like this. i figured i was going for the military hummer look. the idea is that i will keep it int the don postion around town, but when in constant use i will unhook it from the roof. i got it in green because if i want to change it to black, ill just wrap it in electrical tape.

Wow thanks guys, I Really didn't expect any comments. But I had the grille mod done when I first got the truck, it's been about 2 years and now I'm starting to see them everywhere. So that is why I painted it green. It takes a whole 3 hrs to change the color. And yes I put the bolt hooks through the roof. I sealed them and everything I do to the truck, I make sure it can be undone in case I change my mind. Which is often. Thanks again for the comments and I look forward being part of this site.

    More POWER needed!!

I have had this antenna for a bit now, and just picked up a 400Wt amp for next to nothing. Hmmm,,,:D

You did good with the Firestik Bizarro, they are the best bang for the buck in a CB antenna. I have drove Commercial truck for 17 yrs and found the Firestik's to be the best. Very durable. I have a 4' custom mounted to the bed rail of my Taco. A easy 10 mile talk with just a $50 Uniden.

    Welcome to TW!

Now thats odd. I switched years ago to the Firestik's because I couldnt break them.

Did you have them spring mounted or solid??
