The trip to and from is part of the fun. We talked on CBs all the way and stopped each day to eat and stayed at a camp ground, that was part of the fun of the trip.

The showers are up to $6 now. At least it was at the place we went to. That RV place right behind the gas station.

I made it back in two 90 mph days, the speed limit through Texas and Oklahoma is 80 mph.

I enjoy road trips. It would have been a blast had I driven with another vehicle or two. During the night, I'd set the cruise and get behind an 18 wheeler and just go :D

We use the Lazy Lizard Hostel, they have nice showers and a place to wash your clothes.

As someone who has also had that experience....just because you can, doesn't mean you should. ;)

I would be all for it if i had the time. I just dont really. I need to maximize my time I figured Ill take 7 days off off work. Leave on a Thursday arrive home on a Monday. That would give me 11 days to vacay. If i were to drive there and back it would take out 4 days of the trip right there. Im not driving straight. So 7 days to go to Moab and Colorado doesn't sound like enough. Or i could ship my truck a couple of days before Take a half day the day im leaving fly out there pick up my truck and have right at 10 days of cruising and 2 to drive home. In my opinion the extra 3 days would be worth it since im not making that trip often haha. Might be able to squeeze and extra day but i don't feel comfortable in my line of work letting that many emails and calls back up on my desk and having to play catchup for weeks. That was my main concern really. If time wasn't a factor id do it for sure. Hell i plan to drive to Alaska one day in my rig lol.

I can't remember the name of the one we used. It was part of an RV park. It was attached to the back of a gas station and had a laundry room on the side of the bathroom.

Moab is fun but the trip out and spending time with everyone was a big part of the fun for me. If I just had 12 days I would still drive for that reason.

On my last trip, I either used nearby rivers, portable shower bag, or Love’s gas stations. The restrooms are the cleanest of any place I’ve been, you just have to sweet talk them since they’re technically only for truckers lol

I set the cruise at 90 and only stopped for gas and restrooms, had plenty of food in the cab so didn't have to stop for that.
