Tailgate Panels

I think so too I responded asking if there was a way to reconsider or take a different payment method and they didn't respond at all yet just refunded my card

 

I also bought from Al Offroad and love the tailgate plate. Now, the roof rack order....

 

AL off road was my second choice I may order that but they were a little more coin..... but there is that value of getting what you want in the end at least

 

I'd have to call and talk to someone over there.

 

Well I called the guy up and He seems to be genuine about the situation and really wants to find a way to still sell to me. It seems someone close to my area ripped them off for like $10K worth of products and his Legal counsel is telling him to shut down online orders to the area till the issue is resolved by legal means. So hopefully we can work it out.

 

Sorry that happened to you. You could mail him a check or Venmo him? That way they have firm payment. Have you suggested that?

Sadly, in our increasingly digital and interconnected world, we can expect a lot more of this in the future.

I hope it works out ... seeing this thread, I now have my eye on a tailgate pad.

 

Yeah I hope so, he was going to talk to his lawyer and figure out a way to invoice me for it so that I'd have to respond back to pay and it wouldn't be like an online order. Also since we spoke I should be a credible customer being that I called him from the same number I gave him in email an the order. I would even mail a check but would prefer something faster than that.

That panel seems nice, fit what I wanted for a good price. It's too bad stuff like this happens and it has to impact honest folks like that. you are right its the times we live in though.

 

Made my own as well. Made mine with wood... never rains in Socal. Sealed it with polyurethane though.

This seems like it’s their fault and a ridiculous reason to shut everyone off. I’d buy somewhere else. If they let counsel run their business that is even dumber.

 

I understand trying to protect your business from fraud by what means you have. I will agree that canceling an order wasn't the best path. Finding a way to verify the order is not from who was ripping you off seems more reasonable to me. So since I was able to talk to them I'll give them another shot. I do have another vendor in mind if I don't hear something positive back. I'm probably being too kind more so than most would be I know that.

 

Well I'm happy now. I was able to work out the issue with Erick @ State48 overland. After the phone call and a few messages they re-entered my order and sent me an invoice to pay online and I completed the other a short while ago.
