Does anyone have any good recommendations for a beginner pit bike / mini bike? I’m just looking for something to throw in the bed and rip around with occasionally. Nothing too crazy. Thanks!

My sons have a CRF150F that is pretty much bulletproof. It’s heavier than my KTM 300 XCW, but more reliable. Really simple bike that’s easy to work on and easy to find parts. We’ve handed it down to the next in line each time one of the boys outgrows it. If it can take the abuse of three boys I’m not sure anything can take it down!

But would it fit my 6’ self? I probably should have specified that lol.

Our oldest is 6’ and still rides it occasionally when his 250 is torn apart. His friend is around the same height and borrowed it this weekend for a pit bike race at the local track.

Short answer is you can ride it, but you’ll be a little cramped. It’s not a full size bike with a 36” seat height.

Pit bike/mini bike...Yamaha Zuma 125 scooter is automatic and just a little off-road capable but nothing too crazy and Honda Monkey is the same but you will need to clutch and shift.

Check out the MotoD pit bikes, its like a SSR style bike for adults, you can get dirt wheels or super moto wheels.

What's your budget? I picked up a lightly used crate bike (Apollo 125) for my son to learn on for $700. And it's big enough for an adult.

Pit bikes not actual dirt bikes. Small enough to fit in the back of your sedan or suv..ride around the pits or the outskirts of a track for fun.
