I asked my friend if they were familiar with the old saying

    hard times make strong men
    Strong men make good times
    Good times make weak men
    Weak men make hard times

Yeah... they had no idea what I was taking about....

So, we’ve seen it over 300 for what? At least a few minutes during 5 days in 6 months? Had I bought everyday it was under 300 and sold every time it was over 300, I’d have played this pretty, pretty good

Well I feel like it answers it for me. It couldn't do that if it was a direct, mathematical correlation not subject to sentiment.

It could if the volatility part of the formula suggested a strong possibility for a quick recovery. Each down day this month was followed with recovery. So maybe the GME formula is just whack right now

Mine aren’t going up per-say but I’m still a couple hundred in the green and bought them around 235. They do randomly go up to +$8-900 though. I haven’t seen it happen either.

Maybe I'm wrong but I also think there wouldn't be a bid/ask spread if it was a strict, mathematical correlation to the stock price. The price would just be the calculated price wouldn't it?

You can adjust your price when selling calls. So there is some of that

I know nothing, but I'm thinking it's kind of like an ETF where for the most part the price is 99.9% tied to the price of underlying securities but there's some room for sentiment.
