How long did you have to wait for your 2021 factory order?

I would think that you can get your deposit back. My salesman said if something came up, I could get it back, just show the receipt. If it was me, I'd fly out and drive it back. You could catch an Uber to the dealership or ask them to pick you up since you are buying a truck.

 

That's what I'm thinking I'll do. I've got some flight credits from canceled flights last year that I need to use, anyway. I'll make calls tomorrow and see what my options are for the total of three trucks that show up on Edmunds that have what I want.

Mine was already on order from the Dealership when I bought it 2 weeks ago. Estimated delivery is late July. Paid less than 2018-2020 used Tacos.. crazy

This is basically my build too minus blackout. I have tonneau cover too. My est delivery date is your estimated build date. Hopefully it doesn’t get pushed out. Was ordered by dealer 04/21.

 

I am told the same thing for the same truck... DCSB OR Voo Doo, MT, Adv Tech, LED... I orderine in mid January and was allocated on Feb 1. I was told end of May, then Beginning of July, now it is supposed to be in port on June 16th... We shall see.

I love the idea of this unicorn truck so I am happy to wait but after all this anticipation my patience is running thin.

 

Does anyone know what the spec sheet says for LEDs? I agreed to terms with a copy-cat version of a truck I called about with "LED DRL lights". Does this mean I have LED lights (I presume high beams will not be LED) or is this just like a orange led and regular headlights. TBH I didn't do much research on light packages prior to agreeing to specs in March. Just curious, either way is fine with me, I don't run high beams anyways.

 

Build date is 7/22 and I am in the heartland, 2 hour south of STL.

 

In Mid April I put money down on a truck that was on allocation. Estimated date at GST was mid June. I believe this date will be pushed back a few weeks. When should I expect to see a temporary VIN?

 

Welp i placed my order today ladies and gents! Sport 4x4 double cab, granate dark gray metalic,manual 6spd.Options are led headlights and fogs,tech package,all weather mats,bed lighting kit, remote tailgate lock,mud guards,d-rings in the bed,tonneau cover.. total before taxes is 38,560

Test drove a 21 off road double cab with auto tranny. The rear seating was def cramped, and the brakes, when you would press them, you could feel a “click” ever once out of 4 times youd press them. And the rear windows, when down a little, felt kind of “loose” is all I can describe them as. Just giving my opinion. The auto tranny was never in the right gear either.

 

On 5/25 I put a downpayment on an incoming Tacoma allocation (Concrete TRD Sport DC SB AT... already had a VIN so I knew it was not a pie in the sky) that was spec'd pretty close to what I would picked out myself.. estimated ETA 6/7-6/14. Yesterday my salesman said it was arriving that evening 6/9 or today 6/10. I asked again today if it came in and I have not heard back yet. I plan on picking it up next week after they put some options on for me and get it prepped. The only trucks and SUVs around here that every hit the lot without being sold weeks before are black in color. Those just don't move well, I am not sure why they make so many...

LED DRLs are not the same as LED headlights.

I am hoping I get some good news and it comes in early, but I am not holding my breath. I was excited to see others that ordered around my time frame get their truck, but was bummed when I got the call on Tuesday that the delivery date may be at the end of summer.

I'll need to call the dealer back. I see so many others that ordered the same week as me getting their truck, or estimated delivery way before me.

Looking forward to the truck. I did find a VooDoo Blue XP Predator that I am trying to make a deal on, which would have my specs plus the Black Rims.

 

My story is a little bit different. I was able to locate an allocated truck and then put a deposit down. TRD OR Premium DCLB Cement w/LEDs and Tech package. There aren't many LBs with LEDs and OR Premium out there, especially in cement. There seemed to be a lot more white and graphite available.

Estimated arrival to dealer is 6/21-6/28 (I'm hoping it doesn't really take 11-18 days to travel over 7 hours of highway)

We are going on vacation 6/24 and my hope is to take the truck and not borrow my brothers Tacoma. I'll be towing a bass boat so I'll need to get the truck by the 19th, put a few hundred (try for 500) miles on it to break it in a little before towing. Fingers are crossed it actually delivers early. If not, this vacation is going to be painful knowing I have my brand new Tacoma waiting for me to pick it up when I get home. Although, the smallie fishing will help.

 

Mine was built on Monday but the dealer says the status of it still says allocated and not that it is in transit. It's been 4 days now like that, not sure what is going on since yours turned around quickly.
