Ooof thats a bummer, I'd drill it out and retap another one. I'd imagine it should come out pretty easy given its been covered in grease its entire life but if the extractor kit didn't work you may be stuck drilling it out... I believe it should be a m6 but might be a m8

Once they get installed keep an eye on the boots, they had a issue with their boots and they are set to get new ones in September to replace the current design. Mine lasted 6 months... pretty much non-existent now but JBA agreed to send me a new set of boots before the new ones come in...

Thanks! Yeah after many tries to extract the piece, I think I'm stuck with drilling and tapping. I have the hole plugged to keep stuff out of it and I'm waiting for the updated boots to ship out so I can remove the arm and change the boots all in one go. The new boot release date keeps getting pushed back for some reason.

In the market for a set of UCA's for my 3rd gen. Based on reading, sounds like the JBA's are riddled with annoying issues. What would people get if buying again?

Well I had just greased them before this happened so I don't think they will need to be greased again for a little while so if September is indeed the date, then I can wait. I just can't believe how many times this boot release date has been pushed. I'm more worried about the boots giving out than the broken zerk situation. The boots are all cracking and they are less than 4 or 5 months old.

For a daily driver/ slight off road they are a great budget friendly option but if you plan to lift/wheel then go for a uni-ball UCA or SPC.

Yeah I was told two weeks in April and now its 3 months (a month later). They agreed to send me a set of boots to hold me over until they get the new ones. I'm sure they would do the same if you asked.

Did you break the zerk at the bushing or at the ball joint? If its the ball joint I think that circle part of the bracket unscrews from the ball joint bracket. probably could use a set of needle nose plyers to undo it.

The bushing are in the arm. If it was the ball joint part I would have had it off and fixed by now since that's easier to remove
