Norcal Spotted and BS Thread

I’ve tinted a couple of cars at Mr Tint here in Santa Clara. I know it’s a fair bit away from you. The ceramic tint was by far, the best thing. Definitely still gets warm inside the car but doesn’t feel like the sun is beating down on you.

 

Always heard good things about A shade Darker in SR.

 

I had mine done at 68 auto detail Milpitas.
So far no issues.

 

Precise auto tint in San Rafael. Lu is awesome. Not the cheapest place but they are true experts and absolute professionals.

 

Ceramic is definitely worth it. I have it on my front 2 windows and you can tell the difference front seat to back seat. I was thinking of putting it on my DD, but the wife vetoed that. Too much money for a 1K car.

 

How much does the Ceramic cost roughly!?!?

 

For my front windows only (4Runner), was almost three hundred bucks. My Civic hatchback was around $600-all four plus the hatch. They also laser cut per vehicle.

 

Probably worth it though.. that stuff work wonders… I used to be an Applicator

 

I think I paid 250, but it isn't cheap for sure. I have tint to remove on the back too, which will make it even more pricey.

 

You can use a heat gun and some kinda moisture to get that off. I heard the shop telling a customer they charge by the hour to get the old stuff off. And they estimated several hours.

 

Don't know if you can see how much positive camber is in this thing but DANG!!!!! (spacer lifted 2wd).

I had Llumar CTX 55 (https://northamerica.llumar.com/aut...tive-film/ceramic-window-tint/ctx-window-tint) installed on 5 windows on my xtracab for ~$440 at Grizzly Style in South SF. CS could've been better but the tint looks great and they are one of the few Llumar installers around SF. I have non-ceramic tint on my other car and even though it's darker, you can feel it lets in more heat. Ceramic is definitely worth the upgrade in CA.
