lol my dad’s 08 Tundra - super safe and I guarantee he’s safer than a lot of vehicle owners that have no clue what their car is looking like underneath.

Make sure you check it for standing water underneath if you live in a rust prone area.

It happens. Just really slowly. Lol I just found a small rust hole on my muffler. And I have some surface rust here and there on my frame.

VERY slowly. If I wasn't planning to put a camper shell on I would've bought one that goes over the rails, but once the shell is on I should be good to go....hopefully!

Thought I saw a little while back that someone got an OEM rack through McGeorge parts dept for less than that.

Just did a quick search through them, $506

McGeorge is in VA so shipping to you may make it easier to buy from some place else.

This appears to be the best deal, yet another part number, there's tons of steering rack assembly numbers for our trucks have to search em all to find what rack is the cheapest

Didn't the earlier 1st gens get that less desirable rack guide on their racks as opposed to the later model design? Or do they all come with the better rack guide now

Yeah the rack guide changed, don't think they produce the old part anymore since the new part was a succession
