    Yep, turned out it was a friendly but any snake makes me slam on the brakes. It was pretty large for a garter snake. I meant to throw it out the door but right at the time I seen it, got a phone call, turned my attention away for a minute and it was gone.
    Damn thing probably startle me again.

    I had a rat snake up in the window one day. At first, I thought it was a gecko, just seeing the head, but as it slowly moved up its neck got a little too long to be a lizard. He was peeking in, looking for some of those mealworms I sometimes feed to the anoles and geckos.
