A good friend of mine works in another machine shop, they have 2 milling machines that run one job. They’ve been running the same job for 10 years and use a tractor trailer load of aluminum a month. The material they need is 42 weeks out now because the supplier can’t get it

I had a sink related metal project this week.
My neighbor is remodeling his kitchen and performed the “measure once cuss twice” trick when he was cutting the hole in his butcher block counter tops.
Turns out his corner radii that he used in the cutout were too small and we’re peeking out from the corners of the sink flanges.:frusty:
He texted me asking if I could cut stainless steel and asked if I could come over and look at his oops.
Ended up cutting an 18 gauge brushed stainless bezel to trim out the edges of the flange and mask the corner gaps.

Even used some “CAD” to trace out the radius to match nicely with the sink edge.

Needless to say he was extremely appreciative!

Hides it well! He kept mentioning that if it was too much trouble that he could use some biscuit colored caulk and do live with it. I knew it’d bug him every time he was in the kitchen since he takes extreme pride in his work, so I’m glad it came out so well!

Problem was, that was the widest sink that’d fit in that lower cabinet space, so the next size up wouldn’t work. He entertained finding a sink with smaller corner radii but he couldn’t justify the $300 for it. (And I don’t blame him!)
