KDMax-Pro Tuning--NOW YotaWerx Tuning

So is it just meets or if you have ovtune and gear already anyway to just get the “tweaks” to the tune and load in through ovtune software?

 

Any Manual owners go from TSB-0092-20 to the XT tune?

I just got mine today. Idk. 1st feels great. 2nd feels the same. 3rd and 4th feels kinda the same but kinda rougher. 5th now picks up in high speed. And 6 is great, it picks up going over 60+ and without downshifting when under 55mph

 

Color me impressed with the mpg gains on the premium tune. This tank was my first full tank after the ~500 mile learning period that has been mentioned. I drive on primarily rural back roads, and my area is table flat (southern Delaware). You can't really speed around here. They call it Slower Delaware for a reason. You're always behind a retiree or a tractor on a two-lane road. Anyway, this is pretty impressive. I had been getting about ~19.5 before flashing. First tank on the reg tune was 19.0, but I was giving it the beans quite a bit and only flashed about halfway through. Then I filled with 93 and flashed the premium tune and the first tank on prem tune was 20.5, which included a lot of 4HI on sandy beaches and idling for air down and air up. This tank was just my typical driving on asphalt roads:

 

Wow. That's pretty amazing. Someone I tuned went from 12mpg on 33's and armor to 17mpg with the tune here in the mountains, pretty incredible people are seeing 4-5 more mpg's with the tune. That is if you can hold back on how much more fun it is to drive after it's tuned with KDMax

 

Have any MT owners had experience with both the regular throttle tune and the XT? I’ve had the regular for a few months now and considering updating to the xt. I’m on stock tires for now if that makes any difference to the experience

 

Hey fellows, Does anyone know if Vf Tuner 1.2.9.9.8 is no longer working. Ive been on KD MAX 6.0 Premium LT and have been liking it but I was going try the SLT and Wife tune that I got from Kreg a few weeks ago before the 1.2.9.9.9 update but, I keep getting a connection timeout or the TOpenport error when trying to prepare my ECU. Also will I need to request the tunes from Kreg with different extensions to work on Vf Tuner 1.2.9.9.9?

You just need to update.
The new software flashes vft or vfc files.
There is a dropdown box in lower right hand corner to choose the file type.

 

Any updates on the VF software working for 2021 tacos that were built after April?

heard the vf software doesn’t support the new trucks yet

Ignore or delete this post lol (truck finally settled). Best thing I’ve done to the truck. XT is the way to go. Don’t bother with Regular tune

Best we know is “at a later date”. Which doesn’t make it sound like it’s a high priority for Mat.

 

Hey all, just wanted to hop in here and review the KDMAX Tune. I have a stock 2020 TRD OR and got the tune here in DFW. I went with the SLT and as soon as I tapped the gas pedal, you could feel the difference. Being all stock, this tune made it feel like how it should've been off the lot - like a real truck. If and when I get lifts and tires on in the future, I'll most likely move up to LT if the SLT feels like it's not enough.

Remember you can always press ECT if you need MOAR KDMax goodness. It bumps up the throttle sensitivity and alters shift points for MOAR!
