Well Adam, your bet wins the pot. $1474 to replace the rack, not covered under warranty. Undecided what to do @ the moment. Ran some numbers on a new Tundra, offered $28K for Blue. Problem is they have new trucks marked up over MSRP. Not doing that unless they up my trade, a lot....

    Ouch o_O

Honestly at this point if you can swing it, fix the truck and wait out the crazy market. They're trying to buy my truck, but I can't replace it with anything reasonable. Looks like I bought it somewhat at the right time.

That's amazing. I love the dovetails. I'll have to put that place on my list.

You won't be disappointed Ben. Parking sucks though. We parked @ the nearby medical clinic and walked, no big deal. Staff dresses in old time era clothes.

Yes you did Adam. Problem is, I need more room for the Grand Baby's car seat. Searching for dealers who are not above MSRP.

That sounds like a blast. I love the older hand hewed barnwood stuff. It amazes what they were able to build with just hand tools.

Ah, I get that. Get it paid down by the time you retire, makes sense.

My eye did twitch when I looked up the price of those Tunda Trail Editions at your dealer o_O

EDIT: $45K for a truck just like mine WTF!? Mine was 38 before taxes... o_O

The Trail Edition Tundra's were in the 50's, a TRD OR Tacoma spec'd just like mine was $45K. Kind of a shocker really, but not really, if that makes sense.

And that's the problem I have. Most Tacoma's and Tundra's at this and other dealers close to the city are marking up over MSRP. They hide this stating on their website, calling the price their 'internet" price. Well show up at the dealer and you will see their 'internet' price and actual sticker price is anywhere from $3800 or higher. I call bullshit on this. Saleslady I worked with yesterday, I called her out on this, and of course she gave me the lack of inventory runaround, we are giving you X amount more for trade in. Nope not doing this.

My experience yesterday. 2021 Off Road Tundra crew cab. Notice their website states internet price not MSRP, $54006. Actual window sticker, $50206. They can go pound sand....

Ever try going through sams club or Costco car buying program? I haven't but friends recommend it.

Not a member and no I have not. Going to see what a couple fairly local dealers can do for me.

I work the weekend, my weekends start on Monday.

I flipped out on all the department managers so its been relatively smooth so far.. if anything major happens I'm just fucked though.
