I was like that too for a while when I was younger but then you realize how much more the (insert whatever it is here) means to you the more, not less, you use it.

 

yeah. I've had that talk with myself about the Ford a lot since I bought it.


"you're putting so many miles on it. it's collecting scratches and interior wear and tear... get another daily"
"wait, it's a truck. and you bought it to use and appreciate...it's gonna get scratches and wear...use it or not it's not gonna last forever anyways"

 

I think personal diesel trucks are gonna be goin away in 25~ years so might as well use it to get the toys and dogs out as much as I can in the meantime

 

damn if I wasn't on the wrong side of the state

 

Yeah sometimes it even takes those first scratches to finally get to the other side of that thought process.

 

well, fortunately within the first few months of owning it I hit a deer and someone dented the bed in a parking lot so it's been pretty smooth sailing since
