RIP-IT! On my last deployment our BC had a meeting every week with PL's. I would normally roll in with virtually no sleep as I was a PSD element that was constantly called out. We had those little short Rip-Its. I would tape 5 or so together and drink them like a huge tallboy. When one was empty I would crack the next and pull off the empty and toss it back over my head where it would echo off the walls of Haditha Dam. I lived on warm Rip-It!! Citrus for life! After my antics at a couple of these meetings the SgtMaj showed up in my berthing and was like "hey, the Col thinks you need to get some sleep". I was like fuck sleep. I NEED MORE RIP-IT!

Did you all ever get that fucking nasty 3 horses NA beer? That stuff was horrible.

 

Va doc: it appears your blood pressure is 200/150...

 

Hell, it's going to be on the news in 20 years that Rip-Its caused some weird ailment and they'll be upping everyone's disability by 10% for "ripititis." Pretty sure it'll involve heart and brain damage.

Skeezy lawyer commercials will be all "did you consume 10-12 free Rip-Its a day while deployed? If so, YOU may be entitled to compensation!"

 

I stopped drinking energy drinks about 7 years ago. I don't now how I didn't have a heart attack.

 

I swear we are the ones who created the taurine is bull cum rumor. When AMP plastered "now with Taurine" all over the cans we would joke and say hey man did you know that is bull cum. About four years later I had PCS'ed and was at another post and some boot walked up to me and was like hey Sgt. Did you know that Taurine is bull cum? I was like ummmm fuck yeah I know. Why else would I drink it.

On a related note, CPL me was having a "discussion" with a Maj who just didnt understand and thought rank made right when the base CO (Lejeune) came up and said "he works for me, what's the problem?" Never knew a Maj could back pedal so fast.

small cans are better than big. easy to do it in one chug, about 5 swallows. and yes, had to be warm and citrus

 

They didn't have any Otis in Afghanistan last year. Ruined the whole deployment pretty much.
