I'm thinking about dropping my drive shaft and lubin' up the slip yoke. I've read that you can simply unbolt the center support, drop it and that should give you enough room to pull it apart.. No need to remove the drive line.. Can anyone confirm?

Hey at fellas! It’s been a while, but things are well here. I’ve got a quick question that maybe some of you degenerates might have an answer for.

Just bought a 2002 Sequoia “Limited” 4x4. Its badged as a Limited, but the vin comes up SR5. Some of the paperwork in the glove box says SR5, some says limited.

It has a lot of limited upgrades (wood bezels, rear AC control, center console extra storage) but has a lot of standard SR5 (painted door handles, cloth seats, etc)

So did somebody Frankenstein a limited together or is there a vin issue?
    Vin: 5tdbt44a42s113427

    Thanks!

    Hope life is good!

Could be multi trim optioned like my tundra was. SR5 badge on the door but also optioned as a offroad with bed badging and some of the offroad options. It was confusing to see so many trims combos on the tundras when we were shopping. Tacomas and 4runners are more singular with their trims. Sequoias may be similar to its tundra counterpart.

I’ve been trying to figure out this winch box relocation for a while. The maner mount just doesn’t work. Cables come down and hit pipe/hose

I had the idea to move the mount over to the other side of the grill where there is all the room free. I was thinking about drilling two holes at the top and then figuring out a strip of aluminum or some kind of flat metal to connect to the third hole on mount. Not sure if this is something basic I can take care of at Home Depot or if I need some help on a very minor fabrication. Any ideas?

here is the mount on the intended side. Was thinking of moving it to other side like this

Top two are easy. Any recommendation on what to use for the vertical bar/strip. I was looking at sheet aluminum at Home Depot but figure there probably is a better option

Son's xbox series x fan just crapped out. Microsoft has no local repair centers so have to mail it in after an hour trying to get their online warranty system to work.

    What a cluster!

Kids on summer break probably be months before he gets his system back! Maybe he will enjoy the 110+ temps that are looming.

Oh that 3rd doesn't sit flat on that upright.. I see what you're saying. Figure out how much that gap is.. and just find/make a spacer that fits in-between. Much easier and more solid.

XPO has the right idea here.

Take the measurement of the gap that's left when the plate is mounted, then go on over to the home depot / ace hardware fasteners section, and find the delrin spacers. They usually make some pretty long, and you should be able to either find something the perfect size or cut to fit (Delrin is easy as hell to work with, and will hold up to abuse. Lord knows how many custom tapped/trimmed/shaved delrin spacers are on various projects of mine over the years...)

So your final setup would be like this, from radiator to front of truck: Nut, washer, body of truck, washer, delrin spacer, mounting plate, bolt.

Looks like you have things figured out - just going to post this if anyone else has a 2nd gen and is looking for winch control box relocation ideas. On my previous Tacoma I had repurposed BAMF's behind the grill light bar mount into a winch control box mount and the box was conveniently located up high on the right side of the grill where the wired controller could be plugged in real easy.

It's nice to watch good Suns Basketball again.

They're cleaning up against the Nuggets and things look good given our history against the Jazz this season.
